Best thing about Bellagio, green tea with agave!

Waiting for something better to open, in the stud mix

Played double deck for about 45 minutes and won about $800. Average bet about $100. Double deck is one of the best games at the bellagio!

Also, the brown dress shoes are my favorite, and will not throw them out until they literally fall part! Had them for 6+ years!

After 11 straight won the first poker hand of the trip. Called 7 (2,4) in razz for a single raise against an up 3 closing the action. 2, 4 were both out. Ended hitting a 5 on 4th street and betting down making a 7,5,4,2,A

Hmm, well made it into the 40/80 mix after trying to be outplayed by the great locals in stud trying to outplay the tourists. Long story short looses buried AA to a 956 board. I had Aces up on 6th and he tables aces and 9s for the case A

Lets have some fun with some mix hands!

2-7 drawmaha

Get dealt 97653 in the SB

Limp and a button raise. I three bet in the small blind, both players call.

Flop 6, 5, 3

Bet, call, call.

I pat, 1, 1

Turn J

I bet, call, call

river 8 for three clubs on board

I bet, limper raises, button calls 2 cold, and i call.

97 is good for half

Nice! I'll be staying at Cosmo June 1st- June x for the Big 50. Can't stomach cash games anymore, but I will definitely be in the high limit pits playing BJ at cosmo, aria, and wynn. Maybe I'll run into you

Here is a fun hand!

Drawmaha -6 handed

I open cut off with J,10,8,6,2

SB and BB call

Flop is A, K, 6 - K, 6 are both spades.

I hold the J, 10 of spades.

Check check, i bet, SB raises, BB calls.

What do you do and why?

SB draws 2, BB draws 2, what do you do and why?

Ill let you know what I did and why i did it!

Lol, fold pre.

Maybe not helpful, but that hand is turrible.

Hope you binked a royal tho!

I fully disagree with the fold pre! Ha, i am no wizard at all, but i do know a few things

1) drawmaha is really new and people still are adapting
2) while it is hard to outplay people in split pot games, i do think this game presents situations to really put you in the drivers seat on a lot of hands, and you generally can tell where people are at since it is played passive until someone has a huge lock on a hand, and that seldom happens
3) people play way too tight in this game in general.

A J open there may be debatable, but worst case scenario you get 3 bet, and will play the hand most likely in position.

You do have a made hand, and thinking in terms of single draw, not a great one, but also not a bad one.

If you flop nothing, you can always emergency break to the 8, obv not ideal, but an option.

In most cases, if you do get three bet and flop is anything decent (pair, flush draw, etc.) You can navigate to half the pot a lot of times. A lot of people will also make errors with there hand based on what you do, so there is some EV from that. You can also just fold.

If you flop a decent pair and draw, and they draw one, there is an argument you may be a slight favorite if you pat (i do not know the math, so lmk if i am really wrong!)

In the higher limits, a lot of 10, J, and Q lows get show down in 2-3 player pots and scoop. Obv, if they have a strong low, and pat, you can play accordingly.

I am by no means saying i am a master at this game, but this is my own thought process i have developed over the last fews years playing it and watching others.

Lmk your thoughts!

Are you playing drawmaha or 2-7 drawmaha in this hand? You say Drawmaha but if 2-7, obv a different story.

i prob just call that flop raise, not 3bet, cuz if they pat, they definitely have a better low than me. Then after seeing them each draw 2, I'm keeping my 5 cards.

to beat your low, drawing 2, they have to dodge their 3 cards (9 outs) and AKQ (10 outs), then on the next card another 3 outs to pair the 4th card. So...25% ish chance that somebody trying to beat your low gets there?

and - the check raise might not be drawing for low that can beat you just trying to lock in the omaha hand with an omaha monster like AAx or AKx (with nut spade draw) for a low that wouldn't beat you anyway.

assuming sb bets turn, if bb calls, i probably call down a little worried that sb takes omaha and bb takes the low. if bb folds, i probably raise and hope to outdraw the omaha pot (maybe only a Q helps here, but its something).

also - i've never played this before and am not sure whether i'm a prodigy or typical noob. game looks fun though i have a feeling it wouldn't be offered at stakes i'd be comfortable playing.

red chips are $10 at bellagio.

weird

(oh, googled and see that 5s are also red, so not as weird as i thought. i guess you try to never use both in the same game otherwise pot would be awful to read?)

You normally buy in for $4500?

And yes, those are orange chips.

Here are the lower denom chips at Bellagio:

You'll notice the $3, $10, and $20 chips say "poker' on them and can't be used anywhere else in the casino and can only be cashed at the poker cage.

No, bought in 2 racks in the 40/80 stud mix, lost one racj, and won back 2.5 racks here. The yellow/purple are from Blackjack earlier in the post.

Dinner at yellowtail outside in an hour.

Have a few bets that are looking good..the parlay is for all the teams (its hard to see).
