Had the buffet at South point. I love the deep dish pizza! Shot some more craps and never could get on an UTH table. Doubled my money (luckily) at Oyo. Good night
Today we had breakfast (comps) at Seigals (sp?). It was really good, yummy coffee. Headed over to "the D" to do a quarter exchange for a free t-shirt (save Sigma Derby). Then in true "Low Ball" style, played at Golden Nugget, 3-6 LH.
Got checked in to the new hotel and headed to the "Downtown Cocktail Room" for their happy hour. Dinner at Lindo Michocan which was kinda disappointing, maybe I'm just used to our favorite home mexican restaurant. Back to the hotel for 3 hours of Play to Win craps for a loss of -$250. Maybe pool time today!
Saturday was a fun day. Started out with lunch, western burger & pot roast (which i am told was delicious). Some late afternoon drinks at the Golden Tiki. Shoot to win craps (in $200 out $150) before moving to the big boy table (in $500 out $700). Mixed with a little slots.
Late night dinner wings and quesadilla with a hazy IPA, bloody mary. No poker today, sigh.
Sunday brought about some fun & poker. Headed over to Sahara for the morning/afternoon tournament. Thought I was signing up for H.O.R.S.E but was actually just O.E.. Was a fun tourney anyhow with about 13-14 entrants. I did not finish in the money but did do well at bubble craps, in for $100 out for $310+! A nice little bump at the slots as well, in $200 out $380.
Monday brought about a couple of the main reasons I planned our trip around these dates! Headed down stairs at the Westgate for some mixed game action. In for $200 out for $370ish. Had some pizza from the little 3 shop Cafe which was pretty decent.
Then headed to the Golden Nugget for the "triple draw lowball 3 game mix". One of my favorite tourneys. Place 11th after being unable to build up my short stack for the last couple hours. Still fun regardless! Got to sit with Greg "fossilman" Raymer for a short bit, friendly guy. Back to the hotel after a long mind numbing grind.
The FINAL installment from this trip. Started out the next day playing the mix at Westgate. Was a great game and got to sit with a legendary WSOP commentator, Norman Chad. Nathan Gamble stopped in as well as Eli Elezra. In $200 out $197 and hours of fun (anyone played "DramaJack"?).
Went to the Sahara for late afternoon lunch/dinner and had the revamped taco loins, was delicious. Craps went well, in $500 out $630. UTH went bad in $300 out $35. Slots went well in $120 out $230. Pick up my free t-shirt & back to the hotel to pack.
Golden Steer for our going away dinner, bone in rib eye, lobster and steak for the ladies. Red eye back to StL and reality Thursday.
Great trip and (mostly) complete trip report. Ending bankroll in $4k out $3600 - hotel + room charges (probably <$500).
