Lost $300 yesterday at the Strat. Was up $200 at one point though. The villain that crippled me played the following hand prior to my disaster:
Board was 4h 2d Ad 4d
Villain 3bet another player and was betting heavily into his opponent. On that turn villain bet 140 and after his opponent tanks folds AQ face up, villain shows AhKd.
So in my hand I had JJ with around 450 left. Villain 3bets me IP and I flat. Flop is the dream:
As Jd 9d
Hero Check
Villain Bets 40
Hero Call
Turn was the ugly 6d but since I put villain on the {AA,AQ+} range, I figured I was either way ahead or way behind.
Hero Check
Villain Bets 75
Hero Calls
River was a 7c
Hero Check
Villain Bets 140
Hero Calls
Villain shows AdQd for the turned nuts and wins.
Given villain's history I think the hand played itself unless I could've played better by check raising the flop (I was saving the check raise for the river if the 3rd diamond didn't showed up). Thoughts?
By the way, here's the green dog from Dirt Dog
It was good, but for the value I still prefer Marilyn's Cafe.
