Yeah, but despite that he ended up being a cool guy. I think he said because he though I was a local reg. But once he saw me downing coronas nonstop and joking around, he lightened up too. He even told me to go to the Spearmint Rhino with him but I had to turn it down since it was around 10:00PM and I was starving.

Very glad to not tilt after his dick move though.

I was on the road and didn't see this on time. I already made it to my friend's house in California. Stay tuned for pics of one of my favorite lunch places in Oxnard.

This burrito al pastor with no rice and beans but with cheese, cilantro, and onions is really good:

It's at Taqueria Tapatio on 421 Ventura Rd. Oxnard, CA 93033. Behind the Mc Donald's

Highly recommended. I want to try other things on the menu but the burrito always wins.

Made $144 at 2/3 NLHE at the Player's Casino after a quick late night session. But before that, had dinner with my friend and his girlfriend at Kitanoya. Forgot the name of my plate but it had pork, spicy miso, and extra noodles. One of the best tasting dishes I've ever had. I will be back for sure.

Good morning! Breakfast at Roxsbury deli was great as usual. Forgot to take picture but I got it halfway through.

Not sure if I should head to the Player's Casino or head to Hollywood.

2/3 NLHE. In for $800, out for $1324:

Got stuck $800 quick against the same player. Hand 1 I had KQ and open for 27, he 3bets 105 with 120 behind so I push. His AK is good. Next hand I had Kh8h and flop Qh 7h 8c in a 6 way pot with around 150 in it. I C-bet 80 and same player tanks for a minute before shoving for around 280. I snap call but his QJ is good. Biggest pot was a nut flush where I stacked my opponent. The As on the rivet was very beautiful because it locked it up. I've been betting the whole way then snap shove the river. He snap calls me with an unknown hand and mocks. Nice session!

Made it to Hollywood Park after 3 hours!! Traffic jam and I was stuck at the Hollywood Bowl for 30 minutes. But I got here:

Let's see how it goes.

Alright, heading back. Down $52 at the 1/2 NLHE. It's a $40-$100 buy in, and I kept running into premiuns. Like the first hand I raise is AdTd OTB and this lady that limped calls my 20 open with 40 behind. Flop Kc Tc 8s and it goes check check. Turn 2 s and she checks so I shove. She tanks for like half a minute and calls. I say king is good but she doesn't say anything. Rivet is a brick and I table my AdTd. She tables... AK?!!! WTF?! Yeah, it was like that most of my hands. Even had to win one with the Ad and 4 diamonds too. Didn't like this card room much. No 1/3 or 2/3 but I did saw low stakes Stud. Maybe I'll be back for Stud. Let's see what I check out tomorrow.

So yesterday I thought it was Wednesday. Did the hike anyways after realizing it. I took the 154 on my way there and it was too foggy.

However, it became crystal clear about halfway there.

First, a pit stop in Solvang. I highly recommend paying this town a visit.

I next headed to my destination. The Valencia Peak trail in Los Osos mountain.

The halfway point is my favorite part. You have to cross a mountain to get to the peak, but it looks like a bridge. Really cool!

The scenery as you get to the top is nice as well.

The reward for your efforts at the top.

This is how the mountain bridge looks on the way down. Really love this part of the hike.

I can see my rental car from here.

And Spooner's Cove as well.

On my way back I stopped at Solvang but the Ingerborg's Chocolate Factory was already closed. Luckily, the Copenhagen Sausage Garden was still open.

This weihenstephaner original was really good.

And the sausages, from left to right: bratwurst, currywurst, bockwurst, red polse

Bratwurst was the best, bockwurst was the worst. Next time, I'll get two bratwurstwoth bread and toppings.

That's it for now. Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm mostly grinding at the Player's Casino here in Ventura. This Friday I head back to Las Vegas. Hope you all enjoyed the hike pictures!

From Puerto Rico to the Players Casino. I like it. When they moved locations by the auto dealers and expanded a few years ago that was pretty much the end of me driving to LA for poker. Looking forward to the rest of the TR.

Yeah, the Player's Casino is by far my favorite place to play poker. The only poker room where I feel in my comfort zone. I never got the chance to play at Pinky's old place since by the time I found the Player's Casino they already moved locations. It's a great place to get action. I recommend it to anyone that's in the area.

Made it to Planet Hollywood. Tried the $20 trick and it worked/didn't work? She gave me back the 20 saying that they don't do that here. I apolagized, but she still upgraded my room to resort while keeping the price the same. Check out my view:

And the room:

Double vanity

Gonna grab a bite and play later. I have the Monster Stack tomorrow and I need my A game for that.

So the safe wasn't responding and called for support. After an hour, they replaced the battery and got it qorking. Best of all they gave me a $25 credit which I quickly spent at Gordon Ramsay's Burger.

Great as always! Now waiting for a 1/2 at Ph.

Yesterday I did great at Ph. In for $600 out for $1074. I paid off yet another set with TPTK. The guy suddenly started raising a lot so curiosity got the best of me. Still, ran hot for a bit and most of my bluffs got through. Did drink a lot of beer though; my stomach reminded me this morning.

Still in for 47k at level 6

Made a mix of good/bad moves including a bluff gone wrong which costed me 13k. Other than that, I'm being patient. Break ends at 6.

Omg omg omg! So I went from around 45k to around 90k.

So this guy that has made tough laydowns before opens from EP. I have TT in HJ so I call. Flop is 9c 2d 6s and he bets around half the pot. I call quickly and turn is a 2h and he bets 11k. He has 28k behind and I cover him. So I go all in thinking he has two high cards. He tanks. Good! At this point I want a call and he looks miserable. And then he says in a melancolic tone "you flopped a set of nines and now have a full house, I have queens". Holy s**t!! Fold. Fold! FOOOOLD!!! He makes the laydown and everyone thinks it was a good laydown since they put me on 99 or 66. That was a close one!!

Don't worry, I'll go to Dirt Dog again before I leave just for you.

BTW I have bad reception at my room so I couldn't update but...

I made day 2!!! Bagged and tagged for the first time in my life. Have 63k due to anothet bluff gone wrong and me calling a bad 3bet OOP because villain had 3bet me for the 4th time. And he wasn't getting out of line, just running hot. Had a fit ot fold opponent which was profitable, but now we change tables. My goal this time is to be morr picky with my bluffs and if I get raised, you know what? Let 'em have it. No need.to defend unless I have evidence.that they're getting out of line. Really excited for today!!

If you really enjoyed that soup and pork dish you had somewhere, then you HAVE to go to 'Monta' at least once. Super cheap and best ramen you can have.
