There were only 60 entries today and that is the smallest field I ever saw at the Wynn.

mrbaseball: "So I paid 600 in tourney entries and got 600 back."

This reminds me of the scene in John Wick 3 where the elder tells Wick, "Never seen a man fight so hard to end up back where he started."

Still, congrats on the result. Final tables are to be celebrated.

Nice run! Nothing to do with such a cooler.

Tournies are always more fun when you cash Finally made it back to room and got my contacts out. On the way home I stopped at one of my favorites at the Palazzo Grimaldi's. I had the green pepper and onion calzone which is one of my favorites and it was excellent. I was starving and really needed food bad.

After devouring that with a few beers I decided to stop on my way back in the Palazzo to take one more shot at bubble craps. The first roll hit so I took the money and so I took the money and ran up $61. My model in bubble craps is to hit and run run like you stole something.

I'm kind of amped up right now so I think I'm going to go down to the casino and play either a little more bubble craps or some video poker and try to score some free casino beer.

Slept okay again last night. I didn't really do much last night I just went down and played some video poker and had a beer and I wasn't really feeling it so I lost about 10 bucks playing VP and decided just to come back to the room and crash

Did a short morning walk this morning waiting for the Grand Lux to get their breakfast menu open. I really didn't want to get another real fancy breakfast so I just got a good old basic bacon and eggs which is kind of what I was craving.

It's really nice out today but I think I'm going to skip the pool. Since this is my last day I'm just going to try to go over and get in a morning cash game and play as much cash as I can stand today.

Really hard to beat a properly cooked bacon and egg plate

Best of luck today

It's been a long exhausting day. After breakfast I went down and got on the list for 13 at the Venetian they don't open until 9:00 a.m. so I got in the very first game when they opened. The session didn't go very well I got up a little at the beginning but then I just kept coming in second place. I probably had the best run of cards of any session this trip as far as starters go. I just couldn't hit any flops and kept leaking chips and I made a couple of really bad plays and I was feeling pretty tilty. I was down to $98 from my 300 buy-in and I thought real hard about adding on but I was just tilting a little too much so I said screw it I'll walk around a little bit. I went up to the Grand Canal shops and got a chair massage. My back felt tight from sitting at all these poker tables all week. The massage really felt good. Then I decided to change things up and try another round of Baccarat. A new shoe was just starting and I wanted to test my system on a whole shoe. This is the boringest thing you can possibly do. But it worked and I ended up cashing out at the end of the shoe plus $79.

After after the massage I just walked for a while trying to get more steps in cuz I was short on the day. I was also starting to get really hungry so I decided it was time to get a late lunch or an early dinner depending on your definition. Once again I went to one of my old favorites that has been talked about here in the past. Fried chicken and Cornbread at the Yardbird and it was awesome.

After walking off dinner for a bit I decided to take one last shot at Cash poker. I got right into a game at the Venetian and it was brutal. Totally card dead and I think I dragged one pot in about 3 hours. I decided to say goodbye to poker for this trip and cashed out down $149.

Was really tired and wanted to get back up to the room to pack as I have an early flight out tomorrow morning. But first I decided to take one last stab at bubble craps. The first roll hit hard and that made me feel a lot better. I cashed immediately after the seven for plus $244.

So that's a wrap on the casino portion of this trip. I wanted to get up to the room and pack which I have done I'm about 98% ready to go I just need to throw a few things in tomorrow morning before I leave. I also decided to try one of the amenities in my room the jacuzzi tub. If you have a room with a jacuzzi in it you might as well use it. It felt great.

I had a really good time but I'm looking forward to getting home. Gambling save this trip. I got incredibly lucky at bubble craps and that made up for my mediocre poker play. I broke even in the tourneys I lost a little over 400 in cash but I made almost $900 in bubble craps and Baccarat. I realize this is not a good long-term formula as the casino games will kill you in the end.

I'll probably do a wrap up when I get home tomorrow but thank you all for following Along on my journey.

Made it home safe and sound. It was a fun trip but a bit of a whirlwind. My usual LV trip is 5-7 days while this one was really only 4 days due to my latenight arrival. Tourneys ate up 2 of those days and I really didn't have the time to really settle in at cash games. I prefer tourney play anyway but only played 4 cash sessions from 3-5 hours each.

The tourney portion was fine. Anytime you cash in any kind of tourney I consider that victory! One of these days I will make it to day 2 of a 2 day tourney Both Venetian and Wynn run really good tornaments. The Wynn daily 200 is the best daily to play if there aren't some other tournaments happening at the time. Venetian almost always has some sort of deepstack series running. Since I prefer tounaments I typically structure any trip around tourneys. If I was more of a cash guy I would stay at the other end since I think Bellagio and Aria are much better places to play cash games.

Treasure Island is a fine place to stay if you want that end of the strip. Pool is nice. Casino and restuarants are nothing special but you are just across the crosswalk to The Venetian and all its great places to eat. Rooms are fine and I scored a jumbo suite (although dated) for half the price of the Venetian or Wynn. Plus TI has an attached CVS which is handy and it even has a Popeyes

But it was a great trip. I got real lucky at craps, cashed in a tournament and sucked at cash. I didn't really play enough at cash to ever get in a groove and I kind of tried to force it in between the tourneys.

But with any luck at all I be out there in the fall to try it all again. Thanks again for following along. I enjoy doing the trip reports even though they are all pretty much identical.

The Orleans has a good Friday tournament too. It starts around 5 pm I think, and usually runs till about 2 or 3 a.m., depending on chop agreements. They usually get around 200 entries.
