Anxious to get my 20 back I stuck 100 into bubble craps. After getting stuck immediately I caught a roll and cashed out for 192 so I got my 20 back plus some.

I hadn't eaten a thing since breakfast and was starving so I went to one my goto favorite meals in LV. Fried chicken and cornbread at the Yardbird. That combo defines awesome.

After gorging on that I headed straight back to the V poker room where I played a mostly uneventful 3ish hours. Was stuck most of the time and not really feeling it. Then I hit a set of Jack's against 2 guys thar didn't believe me and all of a sudden I was up. Iwas/am tired so I decided to cash out up 110.

I walked about 15 miles today and did a workout session in the gym despite leatherassing poker for 5 to 6 hours. My back was hurting so I went and got a chair massage which really loosened me up. Now I am just gonna chill and drink a few beers and try to stay up late enough so I don't wake up at 3am again. Planning on playing the Wynn noon tourney tomorrow and hope to be well rested.

Yardbird looks insanely good! I’ve had it on my list for many years now but I’m just too lazy and end up not going every trip. For example this trip I had 7 restaurant bookings total over the 2 weeks I was there, went to one of them haha.

There are a few other good ones but most baseball movies are kinda meh.

In other news after my workout at the fitness center I played about 3 hours at V and lost $84. Was pretty much card dead the whole time and only dragged a few small pots. Gonna chill for a while to watch some market news but plan on playing plenty later this afternoon and evening.
Whoa.

No Bull Durham? Seriously considering unsubscribing

Totally slipped my mind. Major League and Bull Durham are definitely the top 2.

Slept okay last night didn't get up until alittle after 4am, maybe I'll make it to 5 tomorrow . Did almost 7 miles this morning with a few detours. Wanted to head down to Aria to see what there early morning poker looked like. They had 3 1/4s going so I decided I would try to play after breakfast. I headed across the street to Planet Hollywood and went to the Hollywood Cafe for croissant French toast which is my favorite French toast in Las Vegas these days.

Then I headed back to Aria for some poker. I always enjoy Arias lobby display and was expecting dragons but they went with a super bowl motif.

There was a dragon in the crystal shops though.

The game I got in was crazy. Huge stacks and chips flying every which way and 3 total maniacs. I didn't drag a pot early on I got in a hand with KQ off 6 ways for a preflop $15 raise. Flop was a ragged K high but first guy raised to 40 and next guy raises to 130 and I think my top pair is probably up agiant a set or at least 2 pair and I folded. Then initial bettor went all-in for maybe 100 more. Of course turn was a Q and K10 beat K7. But only played for an hour before the table broke. I lost 103. As soon as maniac 1 left maniacs 2 and 3 left and then everybody else just picked up.

Gonna chill and watch some market news for a bit before the noon tourney at the Wynn.

Oooo forgot about Bad News Bears too. But never Field of Dreams. They have Shoeless Joe batting right handed and he was a left handed hitter. I am a baseball purist if nothing else

Always in for a mrbaseball TR!!

Any mlb futures looking juicy to you?

I don’t know WHAT the White Sox or Cubs are doing… they seem content spinning their wheels in a large media market

Just bought my entry to the Wynn tourney. On the way I grabbed a sandwich because if I am lucky enough to go deep I know I won't get another chance to eat for the next 10+ hours.

People seemed pleased on my past few reports when I mentioned there's a Popeyes at the Venetian food court. Well, there is another one at the TI.

Wasn't all that hungry but it was damn good. For my money the Popeyes sandwich is the best fast food item ever created.

I'll worry about that when the season gets closer. Not really a futures guy though and my White Sox will likely be horrible.

Chick-fil-A > Popeyes. Bull Durham is excellent -- the bar was one of my old hangouts in Raleigh. I am envious of the Yardbird and eggs Benedict. Glad you work out so much

Run good in those tourneys!

Went down in level 8 1200/600. It was a real Rollercoaster. The first 2 hands after the break I got AK and AK. The first one I won a decent pot and the second one I doubled up. So I had a reasonable stack. About a round later I looked down at AA for the first time this trip. I raised to 2400 and got reraised to 7200 so I shoved and he called with KK and I was good all of a sudden I was a big stack. I proceeded to play that big stack horribly and piss away all sorts of chips I shouldn't have. I went out with JQ VS KQ on a Q high board.

Such are tournaments but I really did make a lot of unforced errors. Hopefully this shakes off my tourney rust and I will play better tomorrow. Plan on playing the Aria 1pm.

Relaxing in the room with a beer right now trying to decide if or what I will eat tonight. May just snack because I usually don't eat lunch. Then probably jump in a cash game.

Enjoying, as always, your TR.

Thanks for pointing out the flaw with Field of Dreams. I'm also a baseball purist, and never knew that! I love all the other ones mentioned, and I'd offer one more for potential inclusion, unless of course you're sexist...A League of Their Own.

Btw, re. Popeye's Chicken, I learned at a weekly bar trivia a week or two ago that this chain is NOT named after the famous muscle-bound sailor in the cartoons, but rather after the character portrayed by Gene Hackman in the movie The French Connection, Popeye Doyle.

Remember in Pulp Fiction where John Travolta can't believe that Jack Rabbit Slims has a 6 dollar milk shake? What would he think about a 9 dollar donut? Because I tried one tonight. I decided to just skip dinner because I wasn't all that hungry but I wanted something and the V has this fancy new donut place so I got one of their $9 donuts. I has the birthday cake donut. Very sweet. It was good but I can't imagine a $9 donut joint making it even in Vegas. It's definitely a try it once then never again experience.

After my donut I went and played a couple hours at the V. Once again mostly card dead except one big hand with QQ VS AK where I made afull house. In for 300 and out for 427 so I got back what I lost at the Aria but still stuck the tourney buy in. Then again I always expect to be stuck tourney buy ins .

I am burnt out right now so gonna just chill for a while and hopefully get a good night sleep and hit it again tomorrow. Trying to pace myself since I still have 4 full days to go.

I don't know. I went to Dominique Ansel at Caesars back in December and it was packed.

Maybe it's my cheap ass Midwestern values but every time I walked past this one it is empty. They look fancy and all but if you closed your eyes it not that much different than dunkin or Krispy kreme.

I will spend some money on food and wine, but no way am I spending $9 on a donut -- unless it feeds eight.

Four days seems like a long time and then, poof, it's gone! Sounds as if you are doing it right, though. Keep up the good work at the cash games and gl in the tourneys.

Got a really good night of sleep and even made it to 5am. Walked around a bit waiting for 6am when Grand Lux breakfast menu comes. Plan was to have one of my favorite goto LV breakfasts. Heuavos Rancheros. But they took them off the menu! First my spicy cashew chicken and now this. I may have to short CF stock . Instead I got the closest thing I could find, the breakfast quesadilla. I will admit it was awesome and definitely something I would repeat.

There was some drama at the Grand Lux too. Two very street ho looking hookers sat down in the booth across from me. All of a sudden 2 security guards and a manager type came over wanting to see their ID. They didn't want to show an ID and the bickered for about 5 minutes before the security guys escorted them out. It was breakfast and a show .

Only got a little over 2 miles of walking this morning so I gonna hit the fitness center to work off that quesadilla.

Breakfast quesedilla looks very good.

Enjoying the TR as usual and would happily take a few more details on poker if you can.

After my workout I got cleaned up and took another hike down the strip but this time the other way. Need get all the steps I can before I leatherass poker all day. I wanted to check out the new and shiny Fountainebleu.

The casino is huge and very pretty and classy. But the location is crap. They won't get any foot traffic. I can't see a reason to walk down there again unless they put in a poker room. I was also planning on taking a stroll down towards the Sphere but it started to drizzle. I hope I can make it down to the Aria today without getting wet. It's very light right now but who knows.
