I was in Vegas this past weekend and I stayed at the Wynn. Got in late Thursday night with a Buddy and was meeting family there. We are a large group, some Canadians, mostly Americans.

The first night we ate at Allegro because at midnight it was either that or the Drugstore cafe. We had the buffalo ravioli which was a 6/10. The ravioli was a bit hard and the service was slow. They really need to have more late night dining options at the Wynn.

The next morning I got up early and the only place open was the Drugstore cafe. I had the bagel with smoke salmon. It was a $13 bagel and it came with cream cheese in plastic tube. I expect better Mr. Wynn.

My second breakfast was french toast at Tableau. Not bad, the fruit salad doesn't seem to go with french toast. I like it when its a bit syrupy.

After this I had a beard trim and hair cut and then a 50 minute massage. The beard trim and hair cut barber knows what he is doing. Last time I got a beard trim I had 3 unsolicited compliments about my beard from strangers. The massage was relaxing and then it was time to head over to the Venetian to play a $250 deepstack.

Within the first orbit I was at half stack. I was leading on the flop and the turn but I hero called the river and my opponent bet 3/4 pot when he made a straight. 3 orbits later I picked up KK and 4 bet all-in against JJ and he hit a J. Rebuy Time!

I was moved to a wild table. We had someone all-in every other hand. People were trying to aggressively gather chips before the rebuy period ended. I was crippled when I lost with 55 against a short stack who shoved 87s. The board was AA664 and his 8 played. The next hand I announced that I was going all-in blind with only 5K in chips (starting stack was 15K and avg. was close to 25K at this point). I got 5 callers, it turns out I had Q5 which was no good. I fired a third bullet and played conservatively but couldn't get anything going and was short stacked after the break.

For dinner we went to Lakeside

We were a large group so we split a huge seafood platter. Then me and my friend got the Ono prepared with squash and the Mon-something I forget the name with brownbutter and almond. Both fish were nice. I prefer the Brownbutter almond. It had a nice texture. The Ono is kind of like a white tuna, it is delicate and they serve it medium rare.

The king crab legs were meaty and have a chili rub. The butters that accompany them were spicy Harrisa butter (delicious), drawn butter and yuzu basil butter (also nice). We had numerous sides for the table.

We got a bunch of dessert for the table. My favorite is probably the pineapple upside down cake that is served warm with ice cream.

I will finish the post when I get home later if there is interest.
