I hope this is ok for me to post. My lovely wife and I took our first trip since we had kids 4 years ago. I got her to accept a trip to Vegas over my 25th High school reunion in West BY GOD Virginia and looking back I wonder if I was wrong.
We arrived via Spirit to LAS at approximately 10:30am PST and found out there was a Country festival happening just south of our hotel by the Mandalay Bay. We looked up tickets and purchased them 2nd hand. We enjoyed the day, but around 9:30 the love of my life started to get a migraine. I was pissed at the time considering how much we had spent to get into the festival, but now I am thankful for it. We got back to the MGM and went to bed. At Approximately 3:30 PST my phone started to blow up as people knew we were in Vegas and staying on the south end of the strip. I had no idea what was going on. I searched Google to find out what they were talking about and found the name of Stephen Paddock, a name which will be burned into my memory forever. He had at that time killed a confirmed 50 people. I woke my lovely wife up and told her what had happened. Needless to say neither of us was going back to sleep. We went downstairs and saw the people wrapped in blankets and towels and offered them a safe place in our room to sit and to shower to get the **** off them. It was the most eery place I'd ever seen. All of the table games, the craps and roulette pit and poker room were shut down. I still am trying to process what happened. Sorry this got long but I am putting this out there to help me process what happened. Me and my lovely wife are safe and sound back in Texas now. I pray for all of those whose lives were directly affected by that Terrorist Stephen Paddock. I will find his resting place one day and piss on it.
