What are the two weekend rooms?
Poker Palace in NLV and Skyline Casino on Boulder Highway. Poker Palace opens on Fri/Sat nights for a $20 MTT and it may get a NL cash game afterwards. Skyline spreads one or two tables of 2/4 FLH on Fri/Sat/Sun nights.

Nicest looking poker room is the newly remodeled Palace Station.

Still the same people (staff and players). Still the same games (limit 2-4 and spread limit 2-6). Inexcusable that these guys don't have the marketing and salesmanship to not be able to bring in new players and spread new games despite their proximity to the entrance and the sportsbook, and the brand shining new remodel to boot.

They should spend a little on the marketing. Maybe get those vloggers involved or maybe buy ads somewhere.

... or realize that the years have a 2 in front now and spread games that millenials would play non-ironically?

Poker Palace? Wait and call on Friday or Saturday night when the room is open. If they have a game that night, it will start 7-8pm.

Good ****ing riddance. I've been defending TI's room for years, but I grew sick of it. Their $75 tournament became $88 with a bigger stack and slightly worse structure. Then they got rid of guarantees. Then they moved to $45 and 15 minute levels and awful structure. Then they went back to good starting stack and decent structure. Then they went to total ****ing garbage. All within a period of like 18 months. Absolutely disgusting what they did there, since it had the chance to be a truly fun room.

Skyline also has a sign-up sheet so you can reserve your place when the table actually opens.

This is incorrect. They have 1-3 no limit now.

It typically starts after enough people bust out of their "worst tournament in town" tournament.

You seem to want a good structure. What is a good structure to you?

Does anyone know if they are paying the comps? I will be in town for the gift wrap at the end of November.

I went to the TI player’s club desk to ask about my leftover comps.. they got me in touch with a host/ manager/ guy in a suit who basically told me that the comps are gone and they’re not going to reimburse us in any way.

So much for “never expiring”

It was not a surprise at all the room closed and TI would be the last place I would ever save up comps at. Not surprised that players would lose them.

All MGM poker rooms said comps never expired and then they took a bunch of those “never expiring” comps away from people. Venetian did something similar.

Thank you for saving me a trip to TI. Those few dollars in comps will now be the last dime in value they'll be having from this local going forward. Not to mention anything from my family and friends when they visit.

It's a sad truth that leaving comps behind with any gaming operation is a dangerous gamble. They can close, change the program, decide they don't want your business anymore etc. There is nothing you can do about it.

Can gaming commission do anything to recover my comps from TI poker room?

The bigger, sad truth is that all corporations, gaming or otherwise, will screw you over in time.

People still think of corporations as the local employers with CEOs that rose up through the ranks from junior sales associate. They haven't been that way for 30 years. Virtually every C-corp is run by some politically connected, private schooled, ******* in New York City.

If a corporation gives you 1,000,000 rewards points for getting your home mortgage through their REIT subsidiary, you can bet your ass that they'll quickly inflate their rewards points so that it takes 10,000,000 to get a free coffee.
