So I had a crazy good year day trading (yeah I know, sick brag) and am taking a couple buddies to Vegas to celebrate and indulge a bit.

Arrive tonight and staying at the Bally's Penthouse Suite. Golfing at TPC, gambling a ton, donating a bunch to the working single moms, and attempting to be high more hours of the day than actually sober.

The shoes:

The roll to start. Starting with 4k, hopefully it lasts through the first night. A few "reloads" as necessary:

The suite (just a stock image, will update after I arrive. It's supposed to be 3000 sq. ft., which is twice the size of my house):

Should be some fun debauchery, to the extent my hangovers don't floor me (as I get older, the hangovers last longer and longer and the more of a psssy I get about them).

Dope. GL man.

Don’t forget, you can’t write gambling losses off against cap gains lol. Don’t go too crazy

The room is intense. I'll upload photos later. Top floor, a whole wing, two bumping stereos, a bar, two jacuzzi tubs and a pool table.

Pro tip: you should have gone a couple weeks ago. They had the Traders Expo conference at Bally's - deductible.

Isn't the cost of a few nights in that suite about equal to your bankroll? Seems like you could have more fun with a bigger roll and a smaller room.

So pretty epic first night. I'll upload photos at some point, but it's 3:30am and we have a tee time for tomorrow morning. I spent a few grand at one of the strip clubs on a table and a bottle. A couple girls may have joined us at thd suite and mah have just left. Also hit the black jack tables and initially lost 2k, then rebought for another 2k and ran it to 6k. So that paid for the strippers and the bottle service.

God I love Vegas.

Oh, and the roll photo was just the initial withdrawal for spending cash for the trip. It's not actually the whole roll, just an initial buy in. The roll is into the 6 figures, but am willing to blow about 10k on the trip, (room and spending cash,).

Here's to a hopeful epic second night...

So last night was awesome, we have a tee time in about an hour at bali hai, and then playing TPC Canyons tomorrow.

The entry way to the suites:

The room:

And my buddy closing the deal with one of the strippers that came back with us. The photos is purposefully blurry for obvious reasons...

No photos from the gambling/black jack excursions. But we played a donkament $100 buyin tournament and one of my buddies got 3rd for like $450. I played black jack for +2k. My other buddy lost about -1.5k at the same black jack table.

Yeah, Bally's doesn't exactly scream "ballar." But, the room actually looked pretty decent online. Plus, all the other suites at pretty much every other hotel on the strip were booked--a cab driver told us there was an Amazon conference in town. So while Bally's isn't ballar, it's worked out pretty well for now.

Oh, and the "high" goal is way behind. I didn't have time to stop at a dispensary last night, but maybe on the way to the golf course....

Good updates.

Your thread has restored my faith in humanity's ability to have a genuinely good time while misbehaving well..... the foundation upon which Las Vegas was built.

So going to bed at 5am. Tee time for the Canyons at 10am. Tonight was amazing. Golfing Bali Hai, Gambling a ton, hit up some night clubs, an after party at the suite that is just now dying down. Photos after sober and slepp.

God. I. Love. Vegas.

So yesterday...

We started the day off playing at Bali Hai. We were all in pretty rough shape, from the night before, but each got a six pack and multiple jello shots from the cart girl. One buddy shot a 74, the other shot a 79 and I hit the century mark (101). I was more focused on the jello shots and cart girl. I lost track of the number of jello shots.

The course:

After golf, we played in the $100 buyin donkament at Bally's. Ran up my stack pretty quick, but then busted out in around 12th out of 38 when the blinds were super high in the later rounds and it just becomes a shove fest. Other buddies busted in like 32nd and 30th. They played cash games when I continued in the tournament. Not sure how much they won/lost at cash, but we were far from sober at this point after all the beers and jello shots from golfing.

After poker, I played some black jack. Bought in for $1000 and ran it up to $3500 (first pic). Kept playing for another hour or so and then finally cashed out with $4300 (second pic). So +$3300 for the black jack session.

After black jack, we did some Vegas club/bar hopping. We went to Cosmo and hung out at a lounge/bar with some great bumping music (can't remember the name), and then hung out at the spiral staircase bar that's on multiple levels (again don't remember the name, because alcohol).

After Cosmo we went to the dance club at Paris where we met a few lady friends and danced, partied and drank for a few hours. The vibe at the Paris club was awesome, they had a DJ and everyone at the club just seemed to be having a good time.

The club at Paris:

We danced and partied until around 3:00am at which point we went back to the suite for an after party with a few of the lady friends.

The after party refreshments at the suite:

I then finally went to bed about 5am when our after party died down. I don't think I have ever consumed so much alcohol (from beers, to jello shots, to more beers, to shots at the clubs, to mixed drinks) in a 24 hour period in my entire life. Not sure how I am still a functioning human being at this point. I think Vegas just gives me an adrenaline shot or something and then I'll crash after I get home.

Today is TPC Canyons and then it's our last night in Vegas.

Pics have been great. Please stay alive long enough to finish the TR!

You were probably in The Chandelier at Cosmo. And since I'm not a golfer, I had to look up what a beer cart girl is. Strange world.

Saturday we were all definitely hurting...a lot. Our late 30s bodies were in rough shape after two late nights of a lot of drinking and partying.

TPC Canyons was brutal. First, we were in bad shape and second, it is a crazy hard course. My phone died so I didn't get any pictures (I forgot to charge it when I passed out the night before at 5am, so when we got to the course I had like 8% left). Buddies shot 81, 86 and I was at 104.

Got back to the hotel and rested for a bit and then ate dinner at Bellagio.

On the way in to the Bellagio:

After dinner, we went back to Bally's to play some 1-2. All three of us were all able to get on a new table they were opening.

We ended up playing poker for about 10 hours. We drank (moderately) and just hung out and played all night from about 7pm to 4am. It was a good time. I lost about $600 for the session.

Woke up early in the morning to catch the flight home. From the airport on Sunday morning:

So the trip totals:

Black jack: +5300
Poker: -$700 (1 $100 tourney and -$600 cash)
Strippers: Lost count??
Drinks: Lost count??
Golf: A few hundred

I returned home with $3300 in my pocket, from the initial $4000 that I took:

So after black jack, poker, strippers, clubbing, golf, food and good times, I return with $700 less than I started--not bad for an epic Vegas weekend (granted, I sprang for the room, but that was sort of a sunk cost).

Thanks! Yeah, I was actually about to post something a few weeks ago agreeing with that thread that was started a while ago about "I don't get excited for Vegas anymore."

I was agreeing with a lot of what the people were posting in there (not as excited about Vegas as you get older, fees are too much, etc., etc.,).

This trip completely restored my love of Vegas. With a little money in my pocket now to splurge on Vegas, I love this place. I'm on such a high after this weekend and can't wait to go back. I actually looked at booking a room at the Hard Rock for the AVN in January (but it's sold out). Still might get a room at MGM or Paris and then make the trek over to the Hard Rock for the AVN shenanigans.

Faith in Vegas restored.

Cashflow-wise, that money-won seems to have been well spent on drinks, clubs, good times and strippers.

Y'all come back, now.

Thanks! What's crazy is that all three of us are huge college football and NFL fans (I did put "Sportsfan" as my user name). But we were so wrapped up in Vegas partying we actually forgot about Saturday college football. My team was playing in its conference championship and about an hour after it was over, I looked at my buddies and said "I forgot about the game!" I not only forgot to bet on the game, I missed the game completely! (and had to look up the score on our phones).

We lost all track of time and all sense of the "real world" when we were wrapped up in our Vegas partying. It was kind of crazy. So unfortunately no sports betting.
