Sick comeback, yeah the closing at 1 thing is beyond stupid

Yeah, I get the cleaning or whatever, but they open at 9am too. I havent ever played poker that early unless I was still up from the night before... but going to 4am and opening at noon seems to make so much more sense if you really need 8 hours to clean or whatever the time is for.

One dealer said they only have 50% staff back, but as busy as it is, it appears they could go full staff? Maybe I'm off base, but from what I've seen its a no brainer.

About 4am walking back to Flamingo, D is pretty tuned and wants to gamble and party. We stop at Harrahs for a dice session. Playing 50+ on the don't while the whole table was already playing the don't. You'd think that would be a good sign - nope! Everyone is hitting points.... i finish the job with a series of 7,8,5,8,9,9. I lose a quick 500 and D 1000... I said **** it, I'm done for the day and head to bed. He stayed up and havent heard from him yet. Sent him the "u alive?" Message a couple hours ago. No response yet. Guessing he's crashed in his room.

Nice thread!

Although it must be a strange feeling being in Vegas these days, I assume some things are still fun at least.

My two cents about hands:

Hand 1: Seems like a great 3-bet candidate pre, unless raiser was a gigantic OMC. As played, completely standard.

Hand 2: Interesting one. Seems like you bet flop and the player right behind you called, which is inherently much stronger than if he was closing the action. Especially as flop went 6-ways it seems. I like going for 3 streets here, but maybe we have run out of value due to the tight flop-configuration?

Hand 3: Fine. Can't do much on river, with one of the worst cards for your hand coming in.

Hand 4: I like everything here, although with pot being $55 I would make it $65 or something on turn. Seems better to maximize fold-EQ given the 'scary' turn card (for opponent) and the fact that you only have a draw. Then just give up river like you did.

Up to date rough trip calculations:
Poker +$70
Craps -$250
Sports -$220
Food, cabs, etc. -$370

Total down ~$780 but I did have a few spare bucks too so I'm guessing closer to $820-840.

Not the worst or the best trip, but time to pick it up, only about 30 hours remaining.

Goal today is to grind poker the majority of it and definitely hit up Umiya. We have a 3pm reservation and a 630pm resevation as i dont think D will be up by the 3pm one. Im heading out to grind now. Wish me luck! It worked yesterday.

F word! Got the update I was afraid of. D hit the BJ tables after I went to bed and ended up in the high limit room. Said he remembers betting 400 a hand minimum, eventually came up to the room emptied his safe, hit the atm and lost it all!!! Super lame - went from +$6k to now -$2k. Feel bad for the guy. Hopefully we can make something magical happen today.

UTG limps, one newbie limps, i raise to 16 in CO with QTcc. Button calls, bb calls, UTG limper goes to 90... has to be AA or KK??? Folded to button who shoves for 300+ all in, UTG snap folds?

Just a weird steal and button is good to get it in with mid pair?

Button has 4 bet and 3 bet me already too. Maybe he was trapping this time? IDK, weird hand.

Game wasn't great and I wasn't playing very good. Gambled a little bit and lost 185, mostly on 1 hand.

I raised to 12 with 77, called from the button. Flop is 56Khh. I bet 20, he calls. Turn is 4, i bet 30, he ships for 105. I call off. He has KJ and I don't improve. Thought a flushdraw may be a decent part of his range, but probably wrong.

Moved to the Flamingo to try it out!

Made a quick 105 at the Flamingo 5 handed game. Table broke after 20 minutes. I do like the no barrier poker better, but I think 6 handed would be about the minimum. Tough to keep games going when people get up.

D is up and alive so looks like we will finally make one of our resevations to Umiya. We've waited for this for a year. Hope it's as good as it was last year as it was the highlight of all the trips I've taken (maybe my trips haven't been that great, haha).

Just as delicious as it was last year! Service was amazing, non stop - just world class. I did ate so much I couldn't stand up straight, take a deep breath or move really at all. Lol. Probably the most I've eaten in my life. Top 3 for sure. Highly, highly recommend this place if you like sushi! And $27 is equivalent to nearly free back home - one roll ranges from $13-25 and maybe 1/4 of the quality and taste. Definitely the highlight of the trip 2 years running!

I did miss 1 pic of 2 half rolls we ordered and another nigiri plate.

Only negative - tried the sea urchin, disgusting! One of the worst things I've ever eaten, but it tasted exactly how it looked. Shouldn't have been that adventurous.

What is the deal with Fat Tuesday? That line at casino Royale has been like 50 deep every time I've been by. Those people have to be waiting an hour or 2 for those drinks. Sugary and strong im assuming with cheap booze and overpriced, but anybody had one and understand the craze!?!??!

it's been a while but I've had one of their slushies before. it's basically exactly how you describe it except u can't taste the alcohol. the alcohol hit me a bit after I drank it - was kind of sneaky. in this awful heat, not surprising they would be busy.

I've enjoyed reading your TR and it sounds like u r having a good time despite things not really being back to normal at the casinos.

Yeah man, hasn't been too bad. Maybe 30% less awesome as regular Vegas. The food has been the best part for sure though. Usually its the general atmosphere for me.

We both decided we would do it again even with this Covid ****. Better than being at home for sure.

Just not the trip this time. 2 limpers, I raise to 21 in the sb with AQss. Bb string raises to 70ish with 20ish behind. Dealer just counts 50. I shove for the reminder. Bb calls with KQhh. Flop is K23ss and the board runs out dry for me.

UTG opens to 12, limp, button goes to 30, im in the sb with QQ i make it 85... folds to button who says all in and puts one red chip in... i do the whatever **** it call you have KK or AA and call ready to end the trip... he tables JJ and we run clean! Really shocked it wasn't domination or a J. Haha
