This is not a trip for the bankroll nits, I'm going to gamble, bet on sports, play poker above my level and pretty much bink a score or punt the trip roll.

I get in tomorrow at 11:05 Vegas time and leave Wednesday morning. Short trip was a good compromise for me since I'm going solo, if things go well I will stay another day.

No checked bag so straight to the Uber stop, right to the hotel check in and directly to a sportsbook to bet on the first game I can then to a poker room somewhere.

Good luck me. Hope you guys enjoy the thread or hope at least it's not an epic fail. If it is a fail I hope it's a glorious one worth talking about.

What's wrong with TSA and their new policy that requires a secondary inspection if the body scanner detects liquid on your clothes? Spilled some water on my shirt when I emptied my bottle before security when I left Vegas last week. Freaking ridiculous.

I wish there was something good to report from today gang, but there just isn't. Got here in one piece is the best I can say and hey, I'm in Vegas so things could be worse.

I think I just set a record for the worst possible 1/2 session and of course the Red Sox wasted a great effort by Sale so today is a total loss.

I've been up for 20+ hours so on to tomorrow where we turn things around!

No biggie first night turn it around tomorrow.

Man, my sleep schedule is just jacked up. I'm typically an early morning person, but it's 3:00 AM Vegas time and I am wide awake.

Counting the Red Sox winner day 1 is -$644.

I should have prefaced the thread with the fact that I am not a high roller by any stretch so day 1, while within trip budget, was not a good day for me.

Although, I prefer not to define a good day by being results oriented. I'm in Vegas, my favorite place on the planet and figuring out how to do it on my own so things could certainly be worse, by comparison.

Today will be better. Can't decide to try and get some more sleep or go get coffee. I don't see me sleeping much now so likely getting cleaned up and heading out.
