Tableau and Bouchon are both a step up imo. But I do enjoy that jazz brunch. Their musicians are legit.

Re: TR: Burger Hunting in Vegas
I have to write a post on happenings between last friday and sunday. Its going to be longer one. I hope I can find a computer tomorrow. There is going to be couple hands, partying at Intrigue and XS, 2000d rulet bets(dumb as hell), visit to the Rhinos, 1 hour of sleep and almost puking at the country club. Plus couple other things.
Too annoying to write on phone.
P.s. wonder why I was named the head of degenare operations?

Re: TR: Burger Hunting in Vegas
Check your hotel to see if they have a business center. Usually you're allowed a certain amount of time on a computer included in your resort fee. Worst case, find a public library. You might have to wait to use their computer though.
I'm almost afraid to ask - what does that Wynn buffet cost?

$64 for the food and non-alc drinks. The regular buffet is imo better value foodwise at roughly half the price, but the Country Club views and ambiance have significant +ev. So it comes down to what you're after.
Then if you throw up on yourself, add a hefty tip. But who would do that...

Utah roadtrip:
We spent the night in Mesquite at Eureka. There was a boring but friendly 2-8 spread game. The guys got a 250x in Betti the Yetti and many jumpin jalapeńos.
The much debated CFA (in St. George) was ok. Nothing to get crazy about, though. It's not healthy enough to be something exceptional but also not unhealthy enough to taste super duper great (like Applebee's boneless buffalo wings). Just basic good chicken sandwiches and strips.

Joke hand of the trip. I limp from behind with A5. Couple limp including bb. Flop AKX, with flush draw. Turn J. River X. Check check to river. Bb bets 5d. I call with the A. BB shows AA. Wut?

Re: TR: Burger Hunting in Vegas
Let it go from Frozen is a good song to listen while playing.
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen.
nothing for these lines
A kingdom of isolation,
Poker is lonely
and it looks like I'm the Queen
need to make something for this
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
taking a beat or winning works for both
Couldn't keep it in;
laughed to somebody when running past him
Heaven knows I've tried
I try and try, still the beats keep coming
Don't let them in,
don't let them see
obviously a pokerface thing
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel,
don't let them know
same as before
Well now they know
oops. Got called on a bluff
Let it go, let it go
KK is no good
Can't hold it back anymore
Im going to 3bet, 4bet and 5bet anyway
Let it go, let it go
Let that set go, its no good against the gut shot that just hit
Turn away and slam the door
F that the game is over
I don't care
what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on.
I dont care if somebody thought I played badly, they know nothing
The cold never bothered me anyway
beats dont bother me
It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all
Beats are behind and I dont feel them anymore
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
Here I rebuy. And these guys are toast
Yeah. Im bored at the table.

Re: TR: Burger Hunting in Vegas
Just be aware that if you pound a few sliders from White Castle that you must be within ten minutes of a toilet AT ALL TIMES until it happens.

Golf Tuesday at Angel Park. I really suck at golf but i ran good and managed to finish every hole with 6-8 shots. However, in the end i got sucked out on in our $5 putting contest.
Then a light dinner (XXL fatty, which was an overkill)
We also did a bit of after hours Rhinoing, and finally ended up at the Ellis Island free breakfast which was the absolute nut low of breakfasts. Avoid at any cost. The paid breakfast next door was good though.

This is what i've heard before, so none of us has ever tried it despite their "must try" name and concept. There's so much tasty food to try in Vegas, so why eat something that you expect to be bad/gross.

Re: TR: Burger Hunting in Vegas
Try the Happy Hour at the Lux inside Venetian...$5.50 for 4 sliders...very tasty...then find a guy named Tommy in the poker room & try to get a seat at his table. You can thank me later lol.

For whatever reason, a couple of friends that I go to Vegas with get a kick out of the Heart Attack Grill schtick. Subpar burgers, freak show potential, and unattractive servers = a less than enjoyable night out

Re: TR: Burger Hunting in Vegas
Tourists at the dam. Sunset was a good time to visit that thing.
And then a nice pit-stop at Bachi. Any time is a good time to visit Bachi btw. There are so many good things to say about this burger that i won't even start to list them.
A happy ending at Cold Stone
This nice day will be finished with a nit torture in some 1-3 game. But we've got a poker rate hour quota to grind.

Unattractive servers? I thought they had hot nurses that spank you if you don't eat all your food.

Who? Mine? 180 total. It pisses my doctor off because he knows how I eat and wants to prescribe something so bad.
