Mlife gold --->TR Diamond

Seems like a good deal for poker players as earning Mlife gold only takes 150 hrs of poker.

Pretty good promo, any idea if you can get gold by playing at multiple rooms and combine the 150 hours? Rather spread my play out and not do it all at one place.

Sounds like if you tier matched to Diamond last year you can't do it again.

That's a lot of hours for a tourist. 10 hours a day for over two weeks.

You need 25,000 tier credits to get into the Diamond lounges for free. If you reach the minimum to achieve Diamond status ie 15,000 tier credits, there is a charge to get into the Diamond lounges until you hit the 25,000 tier credits.

Yes, since you won't have the tier credits, it will cost ten dollars per person per visit. Unfortunately, I believe you can only pay with reward credits -- which is a problem if you're not doing anything that earns reward credits.

There used to be a way for Diamond members to transfer up to 5000 Reward Credits ($50) from one account to another.

I never knew any good reason someone would really bother doing this, but this particular restriction with the lounges may make such a transfer useful.

You’d probably find no shortage of poker grinders willing to turn 5000 RC into $50 cash.

Or you could get a Diamond member to bring you in as a guest in return for 15 seconds of fame on your vlog.

The Diamond lounges are not worth it. I never use them. The food is like below cafeteria food. I guess if you're starving they're useful but really it's just not something to go out of your way to get...

The upside with a Diamond card (if you don't really play) is you can bypass the terrible lines at the WSOP to buy into events + faster valet parking and get ahead in restaurant lines and whatnot. This is the best value if it's basically given to you.

The upside if you play slots is the free rooms. I have kids and last Summer I wouldn't know if I'd be able to play in events till the night before so say 11pm I reserve a room at Rio (any room I want pretty much) and drive up the next morning and I get my room and go and sign up for the event and I'm not stuck in any lines. There has never been a time I can't get a room anywhere I wanted anytime I wanted.

The only people that step into those lounges more than once are broke degens, so they know their guests won't complain.

The food at most diamond lounges that I've been are not worth the trip, even at the free level.

It is worth it for drinks.

It doesn't need to be done in one trip...and if they were already starting at Pearl through the Mlife credit card, it definitely doesn't take long. Spend through the short hotel stay got me from Pearl to Gold relatively quick last year.

And thanks for the heads up about this! I wasn't aware that this was an option, and can definitely benefit from transferring some credits to my wife's account since she has a zero tier credit Diamond card.

Yeah I was gonna say. Not having to gamble and tip a bartender a buck or two for drinks would be worth it. I'm not super picky about free food either so that would probably be right up my alley as well. Unfortunately, I can almost guarantee I wont reach 25,000 tier credits at Caesars this year. But it might be worth it to pay the $10 or whatever to get in on occassion if I'm in the mood to get blasted drunk once I reach 15,000 tier credits this year.

Just get the cards linked or put her name on your account. Then the play from both of you accumulate towards higher levels.

FWIW the last two times I went to the diamond lounge fully expecting to pay the 1000 RCs they either didn't swipe or they just never came off my account. Both visits were mid-week, one at Harrahs New Orleans and one at Harrahs Biloxi.

I also think you get better quality alcohol in the lounges vs. casino floor

But you have to gamble to get to diamond status. So it's just a matter of when you're gambling. And if you are doing it on some credit card deal, you could be better off getting a better offer from something like Chase Sapphire Preferred.

But the "when" is the important part here.

Diamond Lounges mean you can hang out with someone off the casino floor and enjoy free drinks. Before a show, or a comedy club, or watching a sporting event, or after work.
I did my gambling in May of 2018 to keep my diamond lounge access complimentary till the end of 2019. My wife's Diamond stays active through my membership with Founders, so that we can go to the lounges with two guests when going out with friends or when family comes to visit from out of town.

I basically only have an American Airlines card to get free drinks at the Admirals Club lounges of decent sized airports, but I feel like being surrounded by people with depressing stories at casino Diamond Lounges doesn't make the trek worth it for a couple whiskeys.
