I'm a Total Rewards "Diamond" member and I just checked room rates for Ballys for July 4, 5 and 6 after logging into my TR account and checking under "Offers".

The rates are $180, $210 and $126 respectively.


I checked the rates without signing in, and they're $153, $181 and $111.


Can someone explain?

Weird, I have 0 TCs through play and even let my RC balance expire but am showing way better rates for that timeframe on the app

App is showing 125/135/51. I just tapped on Bally’s, tapped on “Make A Reservation” and that’s what’s shown on the rate calendar for July 4/5/6 unless I’m misreading

When an AB test goes wrong....

I noticed this phenomena last year sometimes. The difference was roughly the amount of the resort fees a lot of the time.

One way around this might be to book it under a non-diamond account to get the lower rate, and then have them add the Diamond card holder to the room later to get the resort fees waived and the lower rate.

Being diamond is irrelevant. Prices are based on your ADT not your tier. This is hardly unique to Caesars.

So as solely a poker player, I’d imagine my ADT would be pretty low, but still, I had been getting free rooms for 4-5 nights at a stretch until 2 years ago and then it suddenly changed, although I never changed my playing hours. So my ADT should’ve remained constant.

You didn’t change your ADT, they changed their policies. They started to be way less generous with their free rooms even though them constantly raising resort fees led to those being higher than the room rate on weekdays at their lower rated resorts.

Currently for lower ADT players I have found that WSOP9 is probably the best promo code. I have diamond and when booking they automatically charge nil for the resort fees.

INSIDER gets way lower room rates for me than WSOP9.

That's normal. If you've never been in a place they want you to visit. I should check Cosmo rates, although it would be too much even heavily discounted. At this point they make a profit even if they charge you 5 bucks because of the resort fee.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that. Anecdotal, but went for March Madness with a few buddies. I was Diamond going in, and earned about 7k tier credits over the weekend, which is about what I average a trip. Buddy got blackout drunk, and made almost 10k tier credits over a few hours one morning betting $500-$1500 a spin on roulette. It was his first time playing on a TR card, so he's only Platinum, but should have a pretty high ADT. We're planning a trip over the 4th and while I have decent free rooms at every property, he only has low-level rooms at Harrah's, Bally's, and Flamingo. March was my only trip this year, and I only went once last year.

I was just surfing the offer calendar and found 5 free nights in Aug. Haven't been playing in vegas much this year either

Don't count your chickens before they're reserved. I supposedly have two free nights, but have so far found it impossible to reserve any rooms with them.

I booked it the min I saw it and flight booked 5 min after my confirmation email

How exactly does this work? I'm only Platinum, so I book my rooms, how do I add a friend who's Diamond to the room/reservation?

Call the reservations number and tell them you want to add a name to the reservation. You’ll need their Caesars Rewards number, name, and date of birth.

Also, they will have to be present at the time of hotel checkin. This procedure has worked in the past. The diamond member you add can’t have another reservation for those nights, since they can only waive resort fees on one room at a time.

good thing. and the higher end you go the bigger the savings for sure. my brag i'm kind of doing a bucket list thing by staying in a high end Caesar's room for a week. saving $65 a night.
