It would be an absolute statistical anomaly to win 71% of sessions using a short stack strategy.

Btw: the other players can’t adjust to you playing (proper) short stack strategy without giving up a significant amount of equity. That’s the beauty of it and reason why online poker sites banned it.

If you’re there almost every other week playing in prime time you’re basically a reg in these games. I’d imagine everyone who plays these games know you and the floor greets you by name when you hit up the podium.

With that being said please continue, we need some good content around here.

The story had potential as a tale tale, a troll post or that gut shot to a royal flush draw that might actually deliver. I’m bored here and rarely log in anymore.

Why can’t we just go all in on the gutshot and watch the turn and river? It was going to be fun no matter what.
Well put. I, too, would like to hear more.

Nah, there are multiple 2/5 NL tables going at several casinos on weekends. Not as many 5/10 NL, but more than you prob realize. Sure the floor knows my face, but I use a diff name every time I get put on a list and never really draw attention to myself. And in the big rooms, there are scores of people filtering in and out every hour on weekends...I blend in.

I’ve embellished nothing here, nor will I...what would be the point?

Made $10K gross profit on recent 5-day trip: https://twitter.com/VegasPokerShark/...26920463536129. Haven’t figured the Net yet, but probs about $7,700 (I stayed at Encore and I tend to eat well out there)

I thought you where playing bigger, even more reason to not worry it’s just $2/$5 and a sprinkling of $5/$10.

Yeah, I probs wasn’t specific enough in orig post. I play 2/5 and 5/10, with some 10/20 (rarely). I believe wynncore spreads a 10/25 though I’ve never partaken.

And yes, you’re right...odds are low I’ll get “found out” since I don’t play in the nose-bleed games. Tried posting pics here but found it too difficult (not a techie, like at all), so just posting them on twitter. Will still contribute text here from time to time though.

I concur- Katana’s thread rocked the casbah, and nothing I could ever imagine contributing here should be mentioned in the same breath.

Cool story, only thing I don't get is you say you sit there and watch them forever and learn what they do but your sessions are like 45 minutes long lol.

LVR,

I have no reason to doubt your reports. I am pretty sure a good disciplined player, which I am not, can clean up in those games .... especially if you run good like flopping full houses three times in a session.

I'd just say that if you hit and run, which you seem to do frequently, you are more likely to be remembered by other players than if you wait a bit to rack up.

Also, giving a different name each time you go on a list is pretty funny, but truthfully names do not matter. I've played for years with regs in Las Vegas, I know many of them by sight but have no clue, nor care, what names 95% of them answer to. For example, I can recall the guy in the cavalry hat with movies on his laptop and an unlit cigar at the V without knowing his name or the Asian woman who plays aggresively, lines up all her chipstacks, but inexplicably likes to raise to $15 blind UTG whenever she is facing a button straddle in a 1-2 game. (The exceptions are players I happen to know outside of poker.) OTOH, for years, the poker manager at the now defunct Monte Carlo room thought I was David Sklansky, despite the unlikelihood of that being so had she seen me play for 10 minutes.

Despite my earlier posts poking fun at your writing style, good luck. For all I know, you naturally speak that way also..... which would make you more memorable than not at the table.

Look forward to seeing your game some day.

I’ll be back out there in either 3 or 4 weeks (just a weekend trip next time). Will report back here then with results, pics on tweeter, etc.
