maybe he is like me, and has an aircard for which he pays a monthly fee. in which case he gets the net even when riding the deuce. or when sleeping outdoors if he comes to that. (and ive only read til page 3 not the whole thread.) make sure u look me up when u get here, most likely downtown or bills. there will be a lot i know all the times ive been pretty broke that u wont know.

anyone u befriend who has a diamond card, can take u to the spa with them where u can shower, and they can also take u to any harrahs diamond lounge where u can use the internet free.(and eat free) its usually a good idea if u give them $5 for this if they are in bad shape themselves but still bring u with them to help u out.

my roll has dropped so much, only about 15% of it is less and a few more losses and in about 3 days ill be as low as u are when u first came. u cannot really start to feel comfortable til u get over $5000, and even then u need extreme discipline to not play other games, thats what my downfall has been, and ive been running extra bad lately at poker, and trying to hard to get even and dont feel like i can afford to quit a loser, which has only made my losing streak worse.

i used to get a lot of free rooms but that ended, and now my binions comps are about used up at the $24 a nite 4 queens rate thru the host, and i dont know what ill do, strongly possibility ill leave for laughlin just to survive and play 50c $1 NL there, since their game is far far better than bills. and its very cheap to live there too.

u need to meet all the local broke grinders who beat the games but need all the money for expenses each week, which is why they still dont have a decent roll. im sure they along with me can show u how to survive.

and now ill hit submit, and then read the rest of the thread til im asleep. i doubt ill finish as tired as i am. maybe if u are in town look for me at ballys or bills about 1am.

pretty sure the reason so many of these young guys coming to vegas never do this is because if they go busted, they will be returning home with no money, nowhere to live, and no options. might as well be in the same situation in vegas, but at least with $300 more cash in ur pocket.

you could grind the 2/6 spread limit at O'Sheas during aces cracked for its last month of existence. You should be able to average $50 to $60 a day there with little variance

i might do that myself, but he probably wont make it out here til osheas closes. im pretty much too broke to play anything else anymore, but worry the rake is so unbeatable and so heavy $50-60 a day isnt very realistic unless u are running way aabove average. i sat around this morning at 10am and gave up on getting the game going, we never could pickup a 4th player.

dont expect the aces cracked more than once a week, and u pay that much in jackpot drop in the meantime.

Just got back from the casino (ameristar) finished +480 playing 1/2 by playing my best game of poker I planned on not going tonight but said what the hell I needed to get out of the house and do something for me. I have found out that my work no longer requires me so I am a free man in that regard. I am looking at a possible may 3rd depature from this dump I call Kansas City. I know the time frame is waaay longer than I would of liked to go on my adventure. I felt it was best to go into this with my health at the best I can possible optain with the money I have now. Hence the dental extractions. but I have somebody willing to pay me $10 a hour to do some yard word for them in there real estate developement. Still s*** money but it will keep me afloat till I can do what i need to do and be in action. Other than all of this I have exercising throughly every day trying to stay in good shape eat healhy and be well prepared in every aspect of this venture. I am still quite exitied about going about this (nobody will ever steal my dream) and honestly have no idea when I willtouch down. MY MAIN GOAL IS MONEY THOUGH. at this point I can just sit back and be hopeful I go on a sick heater so I can fix all this dental **** and move on to what I want to do next with my life. It may be poker but I have a huge concern over my dental health right now. But for now I can only see where the road on life takes me and where I end up. Codizzle

If you don't have to go to your job anymore you need to be putting in 40 hours a week at the tables and building up your roll. I think it would be much better if you failed in KC where you have somewhat of a "safety net" in local family than if you failed in Vegas.

You guys think this kid cares if he fails in Vegas, he's 23 and without a car. That's a pretty big fail in itself. I'd be in a rut too if I was 23 and burdened everyone for a ride all the time. I'd guess he probably doesn't have many friends. Anyone around where I live kinda just got left behind if they always need somebody to come pick them up. I'm not sure how I want this to turn out for you. I wanted you to succeed, up until the part you said you're playing the 3k event as long as you have enough for the buy in. I mean playing in that tourny would just be stupid, even if you're primarily a HU player. Which makes you sound even more ******ed. I don't know. If you end up going, gl at least you should have a good story even if you do end up busto. But like everyone else said, have a way to get home. Having $0 with no food, transportation, shelter and no way

I can't believe I just delayed sleep to read this thread. Although it was entertaining I must agree with other guy and say I was rooting for him a lot more til he said that about the WSOP event.
