That's a good point, if we want to sportsbook hop during MM can we just wander about and get in even without a reserved seat? Like standing room only or whatever?
it's been a couple of years since we've had a traditional MM in Las Vegas so not exactly sure how it's going to work even this year. but here are a few notes from the past:
1. Yes u can sportsbook hop and do standing room only (g/l finding open seats tho). there's no charge to get into the sportsbook area.
2. most of the seating is first come first serve in the sports books. They will have some reserved seating for "high rollers" or other esteemed guests. if u want seats, best get there several hours before the first game tips off (which used to be 9 AM local time, not sure about this year).
3. they used to do free MM viewing parties in conference rooms at various casinos. it's still first come first serve but there were tons of large tables to sit at. Treasure Island is one I can remember going to and it wasn't horribly crowded.
4. I would avoid the Westgate like the plague during MM. It is by far the most crowded during MM both for viewing and betting.
5. If u are going to be in the Red Rock / Summerlin area, The Red Rock Casino is also a madhouse during MM - another one to avoid. The Suncoast would be your best bet. However, it's not exactly the most exciting casino (lots of olds / no frills attractions).
hope this helps.
