Solo Trip Report: Wynn (5/25 - 5/28) Solo Trip Report: Wynn (5/25 - 5/28)

This year at work, I got a disappointing bonus. So I built a case for a raise and, somehow, it worked. I got a 20% raise "effective immediately." To celebrate I booked this trip for myself. Shipping out Friday afternoon, staying until Monday.

In past years, I've made a number of mistakes that have resulted in disappointing trips. Chief among them is a complete failure to pace myself at, well, anything. Classic tourist error to go hard the first night then run out of gas, or money, and the will to enjoy Vegas. Therefore, this trip, I'm pledging to act like the boring oldish dude I am. Get sleep. Don't play marathon sessions. Exercise. Chill out. Go to the pool.

I've had this plan before. I've never executed.

Anyway, reservations at Sinatra and Cut, with one open night. Looking for good sushi that isn't Kabuto - suggestions? Ideally a place where they'll just keep bringing me pieces until I tell them I'm full. I don't like to fill up on appetizers.

Also, re: pool, how early do I have to go down there to get a chair? I just want to sit there, read a book, maybe take a nap, and enjoy having zero responsibility of any kind. Maybe eat a $30 sandwich. Can I do that with a regular lounge chair? Really any pool tips would be appreciated.

Will of course play lot of poker, generally a 2-5 player but will play higher and lower. Also enjoy PAI GOW, aka the greatest game ever.

Shoes and money to follow.
