Still won 1k due to the bounties.

20min before I busted a fellow player from my hometown with whom I’ve played a lot during the years won the 1,500 PLO event for 300k.

EBC is an impressive venue and we had a table right at the main stage.

Still recovering from the hangover...

Just switched hotels for my last two nights to the Golden Nugget hotel, as I always wanted to stay there because of High Stakes Poker.

When I waited in line, a lady approached me and told me to come to the VIP lounge for checking-in. I neither asked for an upgrade nor did the $20 trick but got upgraded to the Rush tower which was twice the price as the normal rooms at the time of booking.

Maybe it helps that I always wear a jacket when traveling...

BA Business class is the nut low...

Flying AA Business class Dublin - Texas (Then onto Vegas) in July... hopefully standard is better

I completely agree. Definitely the worst business class I’ve ever flown. My reasons for picking BA anyways were

a. really good deal
b. Best connection from my hometown
c. 747-400 upper deck (got rebooked to 777, so can’t judge yet. I booked seat 62K for both flights, which is considered the best business class seat in the whole BA fleet

That being said, I am trying to upgrade my return flight to first...

Do not do that. Their first is even more disappointing. Save the money.

Ultimately as long as you know what you are getting, go with whatever you think is the value to you.

The only reason I fly business class with BA is because I like the route of Dublin - London - Vegas and they have really cheap pricing for that compared to Virgin who do same route.

The fact their seat can recline flat (Like all business class) is literally the only reason to pay for an upgrade on a 10 hour flight. I wouldnt give them a penny extra for any other service from them.

The nut low. The reason why half the time their business class seats are half empty. December 2018 I flew back from Vegas with my friend and we were the only 2 people on the upper deck. The staff felt that because it was just us 2 they didnt need to come near us for almost the entire flight. Had to go downstairs to find someone anytime we needed anything

When you guys are talking about how bad BA business is, do you mean British Airways? Seems like I had a good experience with them.

Of course, I'm comparing that to US domestic cattle car airlines.

I just did a round the world bus class trip. Virgin Australia to LA and HK to Syd but Virgin Atlantic from Vegas to LHR and LHR to HK and I thought Virgin Atlantic was by far the worst I’ve flown.

Haven’t done BA for a decade but was staggered how bad the food and cabin were on Virgin Atlantic. The comparison between them and Qatar, Etihad, Cathay and Emirates is huge

Yes, we are talking about British Airways. Honestly, we are clearly discussing first world problems here. I’ve flown about 6 different carriers in intercontinental business class and BA just turned out to be the worst. That being said, it is still worlds apart from any domestic or international economy or premium economy and way better than US domestic first class.

Played some 5-5 PLO at the Rio. Won 500 without any showdown but the game was boring. Sat down at a 5-10-25 PLO game with 1k and ran it up to 2.2k when this hand happened



I was the one with the big draw. We ran it twice and both boards bricked. Guy left the table two hands later.

Made a comeback with that second bullet. Table became just regs with deep stacks so I am heading to Encore now...

BA manage to fit 6 seats in a row of business class.... you can imagine how ridiculous the layout is but if not please Google it. Good if you have never flown business class but compared to other carriers a mile off

Leaving Las Vegas in a couple of hours.

Played some more PLO but basically broke even in uneventful sessions.

Played a 1,100 single day tourney at the Wynn at lost another flip with 74 players left and 53 places paid with 99 < AJo.

Just spent my $100 Caesars Diamond celebration dinner credit on “breakfast” at Gordon Ramsay’s Pub & Grill.

Wagyu steak and Pale Ale for breakfast...

While I am a huge steak lover, I was really unimpressed with the steak. I’d take most dry aged ribeyes over the wagyu Filet on any day and have prepared better steaks myself. Lagunitas IPA and truffled fries were good but if I’d paid for that meal out of pocket I’d felt robbed...

Anyways, “spending” $100 + tip for breakfast seems like an appropriate way to finish the trip. Leaving a pub with a $100+ bill stone cold sober - only in Vegas...

At the airport now. Flights already delayed by 50min but enjoying the last moments in Vegas in the American Express Centurion Lounge with a mighty good drink and some chocolate



Had rented a car for the last two days and parked it at Caesars valet before playing some uneventful PLO at Aria. On my way back, I passed Bellagio in the moment the fountains went off and they were seriously starting to play Time to say goodbye. Couldn’t help myself but smile despite the pathetic touch to it...



Will probably post some summary & tips for others planning on visiting Vegas in the next couple of days.
