Servers make like $2.15/hr or so - the standard for tipping them is not “only if they make the experience more enjoyable”.

I think herein lies the problem. somewhere along the line tips went from being a token of appreciation to strive for and instead became a subsidy for the servers wages by the restaurants. now there is no reason to work hard for tips as they are expected.

just my .02, not trying to get in a pissing match. i think that driver is completely inappropriate in expecting any sub costs be paid. opportunity costs are a ***** in business.

im really enjoying this trip report. wife and i are at redrock for 3 days on our next trip and we need to fill one extra night. thinking doing downtown for our first time since itll only be a night trial as that seems to be our DT max. wynn reports seem to keep swaying me.

Busted myself from yesterday’s tourney by calling off an overbet all-in on the turn with top pair + FD. Got shown a set. Really no need to deviate from playing solid low variance strategy in $1,000 WSOP events. No one else to blame but myself.

Down 5,5k in poker for the trip and taking a break from poker now as chasing losses is probably the most expensive thing there is in poker.

Got myself a ticket for today’s heavyweight fight Tyson Fury vs. German underdog Tom Schwarz at the MGM. Really looking forward to see the first live boxing match of my life in that legendary place. Trying to find an online betting site with good sign up bonus to bet on the underdog. Any recommendations?

Got to the arena as it said 4pm on the ticket. Didn’t ask in advance when the actual fight would start, which was a mistake as it’s 8pm.

Damn it, would have done Encore Beach Club in this case...

Found a 100% bonus up to €100 sport bet and €40 left on an existing account I had forgotten about. I only do sports betting once every one or two years. Have 240 on the underdog now and could win 2,100 after taxes.

Thanks for the suggestion da_nit. Should have be more specific in my question as I felt I was too drunk to appreciate good food. Will save your suggestion for another day. Got food at a random place at a food court (mistake) and drinks at losers bar at MGM. Met some ladies who were heading to J Lo to go party with later. Now at the arena with beer and popcorn...

How was the fight ? And more importantly how did it go with the ladies after the J Lo concert

I payed $120 via the official site axs.com one day before the fight. Was able to get pretty close to the action, as the arena wasn’t sold out. Pretty happy with the value I got...

Fight lasted only two rounds but the atmosphere and everything around it made it a great experience. I ended up at Delano’s Skybar, as I didn’t want to wait for J Lo to finish her concert and randomly walked by the Aria poker room later when I was already drinking for 14+ hours. Needless to say, players at the PLO table were pretty happy to welcome me to the game...

Won a 3way all-in with middle set + FD versus two naked straights and left the game as a winner.

Lost that back yesterday when I got it in with top set vs naked NFD in a 3k pot running at once.

It seems I can only win drinking...

Just checked into Cosmo. Booked a standard room via virtuoso.com that gave me a room upgrade to terrace studio (unfortunately, the fountain view was sold out), $100 in resort credit and 2 Vouchers for Wicked spoon brunch per day.

At least there is no chance I’m gonna starve in Vegas, no matter how bad I run...

Still have a $100 Caesars Diamond celebration dinner credit.

Any suggestions on where to spend that? I am really into a lot of different foods.
