Got pretty wasted yesterday apparently.

Now playing some hungover 2-5 PLO at Venetian trying to get it to 5-10...

We got a pretty decent 5-10 PLO game running now...

One social ****** is tilting the whole table by playing online on his laptop with his headphones on and slowing the game down. Couple of friendly suggestions that this is weird didn’t work. I don’t get how people can be smart enough to be winning at poker while at the same time have no understanding of basic etiquette. Neither do I unterstand why this isn’t prohibited by the poker room...

You would think having more hands dealt per hour by not allowing ****bags like douche McGee slow the game to a crawl would make business sense to poker room management. I wonder if 8 out of the 9 guys got up and left at the same time would send a strong message to the poker room manager by leaving laptop McDouche as the only player

I played all my day of the Milly yesterday with some fool playing online on his laptop and texting people. At least ten long pauses and another dozen times when he needed to be reminded to post

He ruined a fun table

Was in Seat 4 I believe.

Game turned in to a 5/10/20 game. There was one big fish but most of the other players were pretty solid. Lots of table talk so I stayed regardless of being super tired and completely card dead. Was in for 1,300 and lost my stack in a 3-way preflop all-in. Didn’t rebuy because I’m too tired.

No interesting hands to write about, but the massage was really good. The massage therapists are from Venetians Canyon Ranch spa and are worth every penny.

Basically even for the trip now, which is a good result considering that I have been either jetlagged, drunk, hungover or a combination thereof since I got into Vegas.

Thinking about playing the WSOP 2,620 marathon oder the 1,100 Double Stack at the Venetian tomorrow. Any thoughts regarding those two?

I played a 1k double Stack at Rio today and it was pretty soft. I regged in level 5 which meant we weren’t deep and it was 30 min blinds so it was very active

Ive never played it but I think the Marathon will be one of the toughest fields given its structure and the fact it’s during the week - can’t imagine there’ll be too many recs playing it

Slept for two hours, can’t sleep anymore.

Trying to be a degen at 5.30 am...

Played some $50 BJ at Bellagio but left pretty quickly as the whole place is depressing at that time of the day and the guy to my left was chain smoking and smelling of alcohol. Didn’t run good either.

Walked to Aria and ran hot for a couple of hands until the dealer changed. Got two fives versus a 7 and put out additional chips to double my bet. She‘s looking at me expectantly and after some wait asks me what I want to do, split or double. I asks her what she thinks and she explains that she has to ask because it’s my decision. I make a decision to leave after the hand and take my winnings as I feel the dealer would be obligated to prevent players from committing obvious suicide.

Having breakfast at the patio of Mon Ami Gabi now. Weather in Vegas is surprisingly mild, so it’s really nice to be outside

Basically just wandered the strip yesterday, trying to keep my eyes open.

Dropped 2 buy-ins at Arias 1-2-5 PLO and decided my EV playing Video Poker at Mandalay was probably higher. Don’t know if that’s true but it felt like a bargain at $70...

Finally got a good nights sleep, some exercise and breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi.

Trying to decide whether to play the 1k at the Rio or the 1k 1.5m guarantee at the Wynn. Probably going for the Wynn as I am moving from Caesars to Encore tomorrow.

Any thoughts on that?

My $.02? Wynn events are tougher. Softer fields at WSOP.

Sample size of about 1 Wynn event and maybe 10 WSOP, so take it for what it's worth.

I have never played a Wynn event and my only WSOP event was the Main some years ago, but I would expect it to be exactly like you said.

Just registered for the Wynn event since I like the room a lot better and logistics are easier for me. Also, I will probably have enough opportunities to play 1k+ at the Rio as compared to the Wynn.

AzOther1, you couldn’t be more right. This table is probably tougher than any of the tables I played during 30h of the Main Event...

I also agree that Rio events are by far the softest. Its also midweek so there will be a lot less recs in town....albeit this Senior’s event at the V looks incredible and I’ll look forward to playing these in a few years time

Lists at aria and Wynn have been obscene. Get on them early or you can get locked out for a while.

I will say the Wynn floors are great, infinitely more personable than the aria ones. Wynn ones will call your room when your seats ready if you don't want to wait downstairs. Also definitely bribe the one floor Sharon with cookies and shell look out for you.

Not sure how the field is during the WSOP at the Wynn, but I did play their daily back during March Madness and it was ridiculously soft. Averaged about 1-2 hands per hour, all I had to do was to check/call with the nuts until we chopped 3 handed

Checked out of Caesars and took a cab to Encore.

Taxi driver pretended twice to not understand that I wanted to go to Encore, than he starts complaining that it’s too close and he is losing money. At the first light he presents me a slip saying $3.61 which I would have to pay in addition, as this is what Caesars charges him. He tries again before I get out of the car.

I realize that short distance sucks for cabbies, which is why I tip extra although it could be argued it’s their business risk.

However, his behavior was so obnoxious that I just paid him $10 for a $8.50 trip.

Wondering what you guys think about it. Was I wrong here?
