Once more into the breach dear friends. Headed in for some Sweet 16 action, poker and whatever else.

This will be a solo trip. That said I may have a few friends joining for the second half.

Plans:

- Rent a car and see the Hoover Dam for the first time ever (despite 20+ previous trips)

- Good food

- Staying at Mandalay Bay 4/27 -
5/1 comped with Freeplay (FYI unsurprisingly the longer you say away the sweeter the deals they send you)

- Gambling - this will take all forms...college hoops (obviously), poker, slots, table games etc

- Have fun!

I’ll try to make it as live as possible, but do not expect me to be an all-timer...I’m not that good.

Just landed in Vegas. 6 am flight was tough to get up for, but obviously I’m glad now that we’re on the ground.

Ok finally got checked in at MB. The priority check-in at this property in particular is a mess (at least in my experience). No change this trip.

I got “upgraded” to a Delano suite. I’ve never stayed in this hotel (although I did stay at THE Hotel several times).

Room is nice, but I’m not sure it’s much of an upgrade even though the finishes are a bit nicer and obviously newer.

































I also got my Platinum letter when I checked in, which means...absolutely nothing. A complete joke that they use that as a selling point.

Stripsteak for dinner. Wasn’t that hungry, so I just had the bare essentials. A decent red with the fries appetizer (House-provided) and the 8 oz Mishima Rib Cap.























I’m telling you, this is easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had...and I have had the pleasure of eating at all of the big guys. Yes it’s $89, but my god it’s delicious...

I stay mandalay bay most trips and can concur on stripsteak. Doesnt get a lot of love but i find it brilliant.
Thoae fries with dips and usually go with a wagyu as well. Had some trio of strawberry dessert as well that might been best dessert ever.

Yeah the fries are goooood.

Early night last night because of the early flight. Crashed around 12 and just got downstairs.

I have had the rib cap so many times, it’s just my go-to now.

Stripper waitresses?! I didn’t know that was the case. There was very little trim there...maybe because it was Wednesday night.
