Is that really true? Even when Venetian started running high hand promos, I had quads a couple of times and got nothing because someone else in the room made a better hand and won instead. And some of the rooms use the jackpot drop to fund freerolls for the nitty regs.
Promotions are usually listed on Bravo so it’s a good idea to check that before you play in a room. For Bally’s Bravo says this:
Quote:
Promotions
Play 3 hours of cash games and earn a free buffet for Le Village Buffet!
You may earn two free buffets per day!
WSOP Freeroll!
-Play as little as 30 hours of cash games and earn a seat into the WSOP Freeroll!
Prizes
1st and 2nd $10K Main Event Seat or $7,500 cash option
3rd $5K Seat or $4,000 cash option
4th and 5th $1,500 Seat or $1,250 cash option
6th - 10th $1,000 Seat or $750 cash option
11th - 50th $565 Seat or $500 cash option
Qualifying period 4/1/18 - 6/1/18
Freeroll Date 6/2/18 @ 10am

So that would explain why they don’t have the high hands. The money for the jackpot drop is paying for a freeroll.
