So as the title say I rent in the neighborhoods 2 h walk from the strip did a huge mistake with air BnB rent as it's far from the strip , been here for 3 days played in Bellagio and aria and it's been ok , I noticed the 2-5 blinds is a lot harder then normal . I have huge problems with transportation to the hoods and car rental is not cheap .. I heard I can have a stay in the hotel for huge discounts when I push a lot of volume in poker in MGM properties is that true? What solutions do I have for transportation and not throw 1.5 grand on Ubers per month ? 🤒
Also if there is someone that can help me with hospitality or drive to the strip , I need some friends asap would highly appreciate , Verona AVE is where I am right now

Bus?

I would think you should be able to get a car rental for say $600?

Find a new place? Never done Airbnb but I can’t imagine you are locked in that long or have made a big deposit

Best place to make friends is at table but still going to be tough to get people to give you rides frequently

With enough hours, you can get a gold card at MGM properties, which means no resort fees.

Have you considered taking a bus? What's the nearest off-strip poker room? What part of town are you in?

Did you actually move to Vegas in which case unless the Air B&B is cheaper than a lease you should lease an apartment, lease a car, and actually behave like you live there or are you really doing a test run? Depending upon where you currently are there are games off the strip(Red Rock, South Point) that might be much closer.

I'm more than a little skeptical about OP's posturing in this thread. I don't beiieve his post for a moment.

Sorry, it seems odd he would not even think of taking a bus or identify where he actually is supposed to be with relation to any major streets that cross the strip.

The whole thing seems poorly made up.

"Tropicana" as the street where you can get on a bus, not the hotel on the South Strip.

Yes you get free parking with rewards cards usually with 2nd tier that’s not hard to get. MGM, Caesar’s etc

"2 h walk from the strip" for some reason this cracked me up. Can't imagine anyone walking 4 hours round trip to play poker on the strip LOL.

That's because no one does. Fwiw, there are plenty of cross streets to the Strip with bus service., i.e Flamingo, Tropicana, Spring Mountain, Sahara, should all have bus service to the Strip. (I did not check this, but it seems very likely.

I still think OP is trolling.

Once the 100 degree heat hits in about 5 weeks even a 2 block walk to a bus stop in the afternoon heat can be draining.

Snowflake perspective ?

Seriously, you think it is "too tough" to walk 2 blocks if the temperature hits 100 degrees ?

Carry your favorite parasol, why don't ya ?
