I'm a bit surprised you didn't double down when you split the 8s to the dealers 5 and drew an Ace on the first hand. Is that not allowed? Assuming it wasn't since I know you would've.

Thanks for your trip reports, they're always a blast to read. I know the pat year was rough but you have a lot going for you and this is just a small downswing on an otherwise charmed life. It's just money..

Finally gonna finish this since I just bought my plane ticket to go back in a few days. Next day no pics til about 8am so can't recall too much. Pluto's birthday was today and he was hammered early. There was an entertaining dealer at a B jack table so I said lets just play 25 a hand, have some fun. Goal was to keep it low and calm, then the cards need cutting and Shawna is nearby. Haven't really tested the streak this trip so when I'm drunk of course its gonna happen. Here's the first hand



I swear I don't make this stuff up. I was upset I didn't play more, so I guess I did before that shoe had ended, did well



Pluto was staggering drunk, I think we walked him to his room. I came back, drank a few with Shawna after she got off but with a buzz of course I'm asking her to cut on her way out. I was walking her back to her car, pass high limit on the way, so just one hand and done. Every time I do this I'm more worried about the streak being over than losing the money. She cut, I got an 18 and thought well this is probably the end of it



If I had put a dollar when this streak started and let it ride every time I would be a billionaire by now. I can never get over the craziness of it. Everyone calls bs then witness it a little of it, then want her to cut the cards for them haha. Again, I know the odds don't change and even if I had lost every time she cut I would think no less of her, but this is just crazy. Went to Yolos for some guac (good stuff) called it a day




The next day a friend from home came into town. I don't hang out with him much but he is familiar how crazy it gets for me out here. He wanted to see some of the degeneracy.... spoiler.... he did. Went downtown for Pluto's birthday gathering and apparently he got so drunk he didn't show up. I don't really like downtown during the week. Went back to the Village, drank there a bit, wound up at B jack surprise surprise




Watched the video from this hand and learned I didn't have the money on me to double down the 9. I guess it won and I went on a little run because time stamped 17 minutes later apparently I went to where my buddy was playing poker, had some money.





I think I was just going all in preflop all the time. Most of the poker I played this trip was like this.... on a trip where I planned no B jack and to play tight poker haha

Friend from home was leaving that day, wanted to go to Aria bar a minute.








The drink prices are crazy at the bar I hang out at, so often I will play a hand to get em comped, but its $100 minimum in that room. My friend was on business and stopped by for one night. He was saying he was gonna stay at Stratosphere because it was 20 dollars cheaper than a strip hotel or something. I guess my degeneracy was contagious because he wanted to get his drinks comped too then before you know it he was camped out at B jack 100 or more a hand.



This guy appreciates a dollar way more than I do, when sober tries to find 10 dollar B jack. Here he is with a 200 double down





He won and I had to drag him away. I can't help but be a degen myself but I can definitely try and stop others from it ("if you learn from mistakes I should be a genius") He went to bed and I played more at PH for some reason. Ran good again, and wish I had purchased stock in Earl's before this trip.




No way have I ever ran this good and miraculously avoided a meltdown. Probly shoulda gone to bed, but just felt too good. Went to the bar



Time stamp is 1:20, stupid that I'm still drinking but it's kinda my pattern these days. Some people sat down and recognized my accent, they live about 10 minutes away from me. I cut up with them a while. I told them and some waitresses that got off work to order some food and I'll charge it to the room since its gonna get comped. At some point however I just wandered off and stuck the waitress with the tab.



She found me the next morning and squared up so it was cool.
Called it a day and not another pic til 3:30am. I was about to head out for the night, but counted up for the first time. Hesitant to take pics of money but wanted to for accounting purposes and if I melt down, have it as a reminder. I wrote down on a piece of paper "A fool and his money are soon parted" thinking maybe this would slow me down if I try to make a drunken withdrawal. Spoiler.... didn't make a difference



I think I just hung around PH the whole night. Not a big dice session yet this trip, Shawna had that section, lets do it.
Again, The Cooler is my favorite Vegas movie. It has been on HBO recently so I rewatched it a few times and recently came up with a theory to the ending. Bernie never had a good friend other than Shellie/Alec Baldwin (mean man) most of his life and his luck was always shiit. When Natalie came into his life, and was his closest friend/good person, his luck changed. (don't read anymore if you wanna watch the movie) At the end he had Natalie in his life and went on a crazy run at dice. When Shellie comes up and Bernie looks at him, he starts rolling craps. I think Bernie then figures out what was causing the bad luck in his life. He then bets it all on the field where craps pays, 2 or 12 pays double. He stares Shellie in the eye while he rolls









and rolls a winner, probably 2 or 12 for double.

It got my turn to roll and I like rolling about as much as I like cutting cards. I always lose when I roll but since Shawna was there, I look here in the eye as I roll the dice. Hit 3 points in a row, I swear I am not mistaken. She had walked off and I said I need to quit but the other players wanted me to keep rolling. I pulled back most of my bet, then warned everyone I'm probly gonna lose..... which I did haha. Cashed out with 2 or 3k profit I think

Wandered around and got to be after 10am, wound up at a B jack table just to talk to someone. Spot Shawna from a distance and said aww crap, lets do this. She cut and I guess the corporate powers that be wanted to slow down this unstoppable force. The pit boss who I am friends with picked the card cutter back out after she cut, then cut them herself. I was like what in the blue hell? You think I just screamed across the property to get her over here to just to hear myself yell? I think maybe because she cut very close to the beginning of the shoe, maybe 15 cards in. The lady is nice so I said screw it, maybe its a sign. I did slow down the amount though, proceeded to lose several hands. I was determined to walk off a winner, doubled up bets til I made a 500 profit then said screw this, went to the bar where several employees had gotten off and were hanging out.
Going into this trip I was worried about making Diamond this year since I was gonna quit gambling.... Planned to do all those promo badges and crap, hope to get there with a lot of poker hours and maybe 100 B jack at the most. I think I had 25k tier credits after the first drunken day. Seven stars really does not have many perks much better than diamond anymore. I'm not gonna even try for it, let it influence me to gamble more so I used a local friends card while playing VP, get him some points. Playing $25 a hand, the best draw on VP comes up




No bartender I know has seen someone hit a 20k R flush at the bar (not many stupid enough to play that high on those bad payout machines) I have always wanted to hit one. I have hit a royal flush only once (ironically the day I met Shawna, no shiit) but it was only for 4k. I have long awaited for the 20k R flush. The guy who's card was in the machine had spoke before about wanting to get his car paid off. I said well if this hits, you claim the taxes, give me 10k.
While we were sitting on the draw a nice looking waitress begins her shift. The 3 other guys I was with knew her and were all very "charmed" by her. She came over and said hey, gave everyone a soft little touch on the back, including me. I immediately thought of the Raisins girls on South Park, how they said a nice little touch on the back always raises the tipometer haha. I mentioned this to her and she knew what I was talking about, got a laugh and called me Butters. A nice looking girl from Texas walked up and of course I offered to buy her a free drink. She did a good job of "charming" all of us. She stayed for a while and eventually said she was more charming than the other girl. Which I just had too much fun with. They were both nice though, it was fun. Must have sat on that draw for 2 hours and it was a good time. One guy said be sure that whoever hits the draw button is the one claiming the taxes, makes sense. Here goes



I was good and drunk at this point, here comes the B jack. Shawna had left, tried to call while the cards were being cut but she didn't answer. Should have took it a sign to not play but.... 1500 on a hand I think, had a double down hand and didn't have the funds to double it. In true degen fashion, walked over to another table hoping to win the hand, have the funds to double down the other. They were watching me, said no. It was 11 vs dealer 6, had to put everything on me on it, double for less





It lost, I think this was the worst session I had this far. Drunk and on the verge of a meltdown, headed to the safe. Went back to the same table, when the cards needed cutting I held off. I spotted another of Shawna's besties, a really nice girl. She said she didn't have that section, but had the one close by, still 3/2 so I went there. Went on an immediate run, got to this hand, split and a double on both vs dealer 5





They were getting on me about the phone so no more pics but it won, got even and then quite a bit more. Pretty happy after that, timestamp is 1:20pm.



Knew I couldn't sleep so headed to Paris spa. On my way I see the guys I was with earlier, wandering around looking for that girl from Texas. Went to the bar, never made it to the spa. Got to be after 4:30 and I thought how Gordon Ramsay steak was open. Went there and threw down with rib cap steaks and everything else that sounded good. Tab was close to 500, charge it to the room, dear lord it was good. Thinking about it now I can't wait to go back. Finally laid it down, 2 more nights left on the trip still hoping to avoid the meltdown

I don't think I got out til about 3am the next night. Talked to Shawna a bit when I went downstairs. She had the sucker slot section and that was probly a good thing to keep me off B Jack. Nonetheless, ordered a drink from her, put 100 in a crap slot playing small just to wait for a drink. Hit a big spin, cashed out with 225. Even up on slots this trip. Got to be around 6am Goofy and Mickey wanted to got to Cosmo pizza but they were closed, headed to Bellagio




Snacks at Bellagio is kind of a hidden gem for pizza. When made fresh its comparable to Cosmo and five 50, rarely a line. Goofy ordered this one however, had enough meat on it to put a vegan into cardiac arrest, but still good



I had a really good time with them, lots of laughs and great conversation. I learned what it means to "Drip".... knew what this T shirt meant a week later when I saw it


Wasn't too drunk, stayed away from gambling and rested up as the next night was my last one.

If I could just make it one more day without melting down this would be my most successful trip gambling ever. To put myself in check I called a longtime friend to help keep me under control. Haven't played much poker this trip and wanted to sit around with her by one of the front tables, people watch, get drunk. While I was sober, I told her to not let me play B jack, stressed this hard. Wanted to run the room charges that are gonna get comped so went to G Ramsay steak by myself. Excellent last meal. Met up with my friend at PH. Played poker a while, drinking, having fun and running good. Well.... eventually I took a bad beat or something. I said I'm going to go pee. Which I did but then went the long way around to the B jack tables. I wanted to play one hand for 200 hoping to be 1 and done, win another poker buy in. Didn't happen... Played stupid just trying to be quick, get back to poker since I was feeling like Clark Griswold leaving Helen at the dinner table to gamble. Doubled down a dagon 10 vs dealer 10, of course it lost



I must have lost 7 in a row, lost probly 2 or 3k. Here we friggin go. Grabbed 3k more, lost every hand. Grabbed 10k, went back to the same table feeling I was due. Played one hand for 2500, won, then played 2 handed for 2500 each next hand. My friend walks up and says WTF, cusses me. I promised her win or lose this was the last hand. One of em is a double down of course





I said this would be my last hand but I knew if it loses I'm probly chasing after she leaves



That was a sexy hand to leave on, wasn't gonna top it and it did end up being the last hand of the trip. Pretty sure I didn't have a single losing day. Went and packed up, went to the bar to get shiitfaced. The only gambling I did after that point was pushing it to the last minute to make the flight. I was still very, very drunk going through security with a ton cash in my carry on. I was just waiting for them to question me. I just knew it was coming as I'm looking at that moving conveyor belt, then of course it stops and I'm thinking here we go.... but I saw my bag, they were checking out someone else's, made it through. When I was still drunk on the plane I was very happy. Not even so much from the wins but I had a great time. I was much happier flying back home than the previous 2 trips and it had nothing to do with money. I had a great time with great friends and had a much better attitude. I was over this depression crap.





I obviously can't write up everything that happened, but this trip was a lot better than it sounds when I write this. I really didn't do it justice. When I think back, its crazy that saying moms out loud when I cut the cards that first day made such a difference. If I had lost that hand or not went on that crazy run, I would be down big time. If my friend I had asked to hold my ATM card had not gotten called out of work and been there that morning, it couldn't have happened. Later in the trip my friend that gave me the jager said he was sorry for getting me started on that and being all hungover later. I texted him when I got home and let him know if I hadn't drank that jager the best gambling trip I ever had probly would have been another losing one.

Not sure exactly how much I won this trip. I spent a lot, tipped out at least 3k and that's being modest. I came back home all frugal as crap but I don't regret all the tipping to people I know well. I think I came back with about 60-65k more than I started with. About 16 hours after I had a $100 G Ramsay steak, its back to the coupons

Slim, a quick question. In your last hand during the first picture the dealer shows a 4. The final cards for the dealer is T-2-4-Q. Did the dealer change the order of the deal middle of the hand for some reason? Like drew a 2 then a T and then put the Q on the other side? This confused me a lot, not sure I have ever seen anything like it.

I feel ashamed, I just realized while typing that you guys have 2-card BJ in the US. Total brainfart, please ignore
