I would venture to say you have as much chance of being unsafe in a Vegas motel room as in a car. Also take into account the disgusting unclean options like Fremont Street or motel 6 and the people in the parking lots at those motels .
Sleeping in the South Point parking lot was very peaceful and I was never once tired the next day for lack of sleep. Again it's a choice not something I had to do . You guys need to lighten up a bit . Thousands of people sleep in there cars in Walmart parking lots across the country every night.

"Neil Gandler called his car home. The 42-year-old Californian was a vagabond by choice, traveling from town to town, boasting a life of modesty, his friends say..."
"The 19-year-old woman facing charges — including murder — in the killing of a man in the parking lot of a 24 Hour Fitness laid out the details for police, according to the arrest report.
On Jan. 2, police arrested Megan Hippie, and 27-year-old Kyle Staats.
They are accused of robbing and killing 42-year-old Neil Brian Gandler of Palo Alto, California who was apparently sleeping in his car in the parking lot of the fitness center at Rainbow Boulevard and Alta Drive.
Hippie told police that she and Staats were out committing auto burglaries in the early morning hours of Dec. 29 when they came across Gandler sleeping in his car.
According to the arrest report, Staats got out of the car with a gun in his hand and knocked on Gandler’s window. Hippie said she heard him (Gandler) say, “Don’t do it,” and moments later she heard a gunshot."
