I am just curious as to if it turned out to be a scam and if it wasn't a scam, if the feds raided it as threatened.

Of course it was a scam. Highly doubt they made that much money off it anyways. The only TR that exists from any of the previous iterations is an "anonymous NYC doctor" that wrote to a bunch of tabloids. Seems legit.

There's a soccer game this Saturday I thought I'd share with you guys here, rather than the sports bet forum. You guys know who you are.

If this gets me banned, oh well. So here goes.

Premier league

Burnley at home vs Norwich city

Norwich city to win +245. It was +250 on Monday. I put a small wager of 29 for a total win of 74. So, as on can see, it's a long shot and I'd feel bad if anyone invested and lost any serious money. But I think it's a great value and making , at least, a small wager is a great opportunity.

Here's my reasoning.

Norwich won against the Premier league and European powerhouse Man city 3-2 last Saturday. One of the goals was the result of a huge mistake by the Man city defender, but even a 2-2 result against Man city is huge.

That's their second win in 5 games. They've given up a lot of goals but the statistics are a very deceiving. They've had a killer schedule to begin the competition.

Liverpool 4-1
Chelsea 3-2
3 of the top teams, when including the win against Man city, in the league in their first 5 games.
But they also score a lot of goals.

In comparison, Burnley has 1 win and 2 draws. They haven't allowed as much goals but don't have much punch either. They squirmed a last minute 1-1 draw last weekend against a weak side in Brighton.
Burnley is not a good team.

Burnley has only managed 16 shots in target and 6 goals, which only 4 other teams are worse.
In contrast, Norwich has 9 goals with 24 shots on target which is in the top 6.
This is a great value. I predict a Norwich win of 0-2.

I won’t speak to the game result prediction one way or another. Understand however that soccer is very much match up based and also teams form home vs away.

I’m not up on Burnley or Norwich’s current rosters but Burnley traditionally is a “park the bus in front of the net” style of bunker defense and they spring long balls on the counter attack. They don’t get many shots off but they could break a team in a hurry on the counter or off set pieces like corners.

Usually I would say throw out all stats on a game like this and bet the draw. 0-0 or 1-1 seems most probable

I know nothing about English Premier soccer but I’d imagine it’s even more of an efficient betting market than even the NFL. Doesn’t seem like it’s worth the effort.

I'm not a professional sports bettor. And I don't use algorithms. I'd need someone's help in setting one up.
As I indicated, anyone wanting to wager on the match should use discretion.

To elaborate a little further on my enthusiasm for taking Nowrich city over Burnley.

Norwich city's defence is a little suspect. They've allowed a lot of goals.
But like I said before, they've been playing with very tough competition so far.
Burnley has allowed fewer goals so far, and they are playing at home, which certainly is a factor in their favor.

But let's take a look at a direct comparison. Both teams have played against Liverpool. Burnley lost to Liverpool 0-3 at home.
Norwich lost to Liverpool 4-1 away.
So, as one can see, against similar competition, Burnley doesn't fare much better than Norwich, as far as goals allowed is concerned.

The reason I'm guessing that Burnley is such a big favorite among the books is, that they must factor in, on their computer simulations, the amount of chances and goals conceded, which heavily favors Burnley right now.
But as one can see, those stats give a false picture right now.

I'm convinced Norwich will win. But, I wouldn't bet the house on it!

I like soccer and I've almost exclusively wagerd on soccer matches the past year. Since there are so many leagues and so many teams, it's almost impossible to keep track of all of them.
I only follow the English premier league and the English championship(2nd league). And the German Bundesliga 1 and 2.
Anything else would be much too much to keep up with.

I prefer betting on the 2nd leagues actually. Because the favorites never have as bad a price as the favorites do in the top leagues.

I've found the results in these four competitions to be more consistent with expected outcomes as compared to other leagues.

I usually like your posting but this is some lol bad soccer breakdown. You sort of ignored what I said and doubled down. I used to live the Premier league, all day every day and follow the Championship as well.

You can throw your money away but don’t argue it’s a reasonable bet to bet against Burnley or more likely the draw.

Again, the reason why I liked this wager so much is because of the price it's giving for an upset. Which I think an upset is very possible.

Maybe I should have not posted at all. I'm putting everything on the line.
Not that I have any reputation of being some kind of expert on the forum.

Well, that didn't go according to plan. But I was right about the score, right? Scary thing is, I'm disappointed about the result but don't regret taking the gamble. Maybe I'm a bigger degen than I thought?
