I chose not to raise flop based on sizing of flop bet by MP and a very quick snap call by the Player in the cutoff... Reason being I want to fade a turned spade and position myself for a check raise on the turn. If a brick peels off on turn the plan was to check as I did and induce either MO or Cutoff to bet so as though I can check-raise the turn with the stone nuts. Had the Cutoff not snap called the flop bet and had the sizing of the MP players flop bet not been 75-80% pot I may have taken a different line but I sure was confident that if a brick peels one of the two of them would still lead turn if I checked to them and I can then check raise after getting through the turn safely. Fortunately for me the 2c peeled off on the turn and when I checked the MP player checked as well but that’s when the Cutoff player decided to pile all in and give me all of the monies with 2 pair Second Trip Report 6/22/-6/26 Worlds Ugliest Shoes Return to WSOP

First HH: Young kid who I’ve been battling with is on Button and straddles to $10 (he starts hand with $1800 we cover) im in CO 6-handed... folds to me... we bump it to $30 with Kd Js Button bumps it to $110 BB folds action back on us we flat... Flop 6s 9s 4c... we check... Button bets $150.... we check raise to $375.... Button calls... Turn 5d.... we check... Button bets $325.... we tank call river 3s... we tank rip AI and Button thinks for about 2 mins before calling off his last 1k..... REBUY!

30 minutes later.... same villain

Still 6 handed... we are on the Button with the straddle on and it folds to the SB who is the same villain he now has a full $1500 stack after a quick debut and when it folds to him in the SB he raises to $30... BB folds... we look down at As Qs and make it $100... villain 4- bets to $310 and we flat... flop Qd 10d 3c... villain leads for $250 and we call... turn 5d... villain leads for $450... we tank fold... kind of a gross spot given the evenings battling and the fact that I have been getting the better of him thus far last night but I’m clearly going to be facing a river shove and he is a competent player... sucks if/when I run into KdKx or Ad Ax in this spot and I often think I do we also can’t discredit Ad Kd one which I think he would play the hand similar with this range... sigh fold...

Just loaded up an Aria 2/5 session this afternoon before heading back to Wynn later... we are snap up $415 in 30 minutes so let’s keep it going!

To note* the first hand history I have Ks Js and river flush for second nuts and to scoop the pot... I just reviewed this and noticed it said Kd making it look like I bluffed off $1800 in a TERRIBLE spot... The REBUY was villain not myself... sorry for any confusion

haha; thanks for the clarification. i did interpret it as you bluffing there, and though it was weird. I figured you left out some action; cuz losing that $1800 (size of Villains stack to start that hand) would be a nice dent, but you showed a pic with a ton of chips.

Well what a four days we had out in Vegas. Nothing beats four days straight of poker with great poker friends in Las Vegas during the WSOP. I spent a total of 90 hours in Vegas and 50 of them were spent playing the game we all love. For the trip we made $3.4K profit got to play with Daniel Negreanu and spend time with good friends, there is not much more I could have asked for. If anyone has any questions regarding cash game or game flow at the 2/5NL stakes at Wynn feel free to reach out and ask questions I spent 40 + hours in the last week playing there. Thanks everyone for following along it’s been a blast and I hope to get back out next year again!

The 2/5NL cash games at Wynn are fantastic the 1.5K cap buy in makes the game much better than a standard 1K cap at 2/5NL. My intention was to play a mix of 2/5NL and 5/10NL. The thing was this... the Wynn 5/10 NL is uncapped and if I was going to play 5/10 NL I wanted to play the 3K cap game at Aria because I think a higher limit capped game drives more action than 4/9 players sitting in a 5/10 uncapped game super deep just folding all day and only playing nutted hands. In short I took an Uber everyday from Aria where I was staying which has a great poker room to Wynn specifically to play the 2/5 NL 1.5K cap because action warranted it. Throughout the entire trip I never felt the urge to play bigger because overall the games played big enough and although 70% of players in the game new basics playing ABC straightforward poker you still found the other 30% to be spots who were donating. Lastly, the game plays deep enough that if your playing against opponents who only ever play 2/5 NL and lower you can apply max pressure and put them in some uncomfortable spots playing 400-600 + Big blinds deep. The room Itself is also absolutely beautiful and the floor does an amazing job I was very impressed how they handled the workload of player transfers, long lists, and overall requests by players. The dealers were all top notch and rarely made mistakes, I only had the floor called over once in 40 + hours of play I highly recommend taking the trip over to Wynn and firing the 2/5NL.
