Agree 100% but, as you say, focus on having a great trip - best of luck! enjoy!

Thanks! And yeah, will try to focus on the fun stuff and not spam the thread with negativity. After all, if I am willing to take a test (tomorrow, not looking forward to it), travel 20h each way with mask, and play poker for hours with a mask, then I guess I am contributing to the insanity. So in essence I am a hypocrite

But hopefully I am seeing the bright lights of Vegas in less than 60 hours from now!

Love reading your TRs. Inspired by BigWhale, I'm also thinking of making a last minute dash out there for 7-10 days. I have some downtime till Feb and so it's a good opportunity.

Curious how the vibe is over there? Obviously won't be the same as pre-covid but does it still feel like 'Vegas' or more like Atlantic City in the winter?

Right now CES is running, and although many big companies cancelled it is still insanely busy. Have only been to Aria, Bellagio, Venetian and Cesars Palace so far for poker and everything was full almost all the time. Streets are super busy as well.

Only bad thing I noticed, and no idea if the pandemic has anything to do with it or not, is te number of homeless people everywhere. It has definitely gone up a lot, and had some dodgy vibes between Bellagio and Cesars.

Quick update. Went out around 11 to fix some stuff, then over to NYNY for a $25 free play that turned out weird to say the least. Didn't cash anything in the free play and then played some VP (-200) and then some blackjack that first went bad, then insanely bad and then turned around last second (+250).

Currently at Cesars in a 1/3 game until further notice.

How are the Caesar’s games? I’ve been scared to head over because of the construction eating up half the pits and thinking it might take away from the poker clientele, but maybe it’s good anyway during CES

First time down here this trip. Couple of tables running, very nitty and pretty bad so far. Don't think that there is any point playing here, only reason was that I was here shopping.

Edit: we are currently playing 5 ha des and everyone is chopping. Haven't seen a flop for 15 minutes

Early morning session, table full of OMCs. Not planning to move from here all day unless $0.

Here we go, AQ vs A3 on AQ3 for full stacks and then TT vs 22 for some more. Great to be on the good side of a couple of coolers.

In for 300, out for 1000 even for a much needed profit. Grabbing some food and will walk over to Venetian for some high hand grind.

Random city picks and a session at the Venetian, in search for breaking even

Good thread. I went to Vegas (from UK) at Christmas time for the first time since pre-Covid.

It's a pity so many smaller rooms have closed, but I played a few sessions at Resorts World and thought it was a good venue. We liked the food options too.

MGM and Venetian were the worst rooms I played in. $7 rake and lots of promotion chasers. Wynn had the most action if that's what you're looking for.
I liked Caesar's though and tried the Orleans for the first time.
Came back break-even after 10 days of poker; could be worse I guess. I used to do trip reports but lack the energy these days!

I personally don't mind the smaller rooms closing. I only liked the Mirage, rest were horrible to be honest. It kind of concentrates all the action to the poker rooms that are left, and you basically avoid all the bad OMC places. MGM is closing the poker room end of March as well btw.

Haven't checked out Wynn yet this trip or Resorts World, maybe when BigWhale lands tomorrow.

There are few feelings that are better than a Jameson, and a random guy with a CES badge joining the table and betting $60 in $10 pots. Rungood continues.

Random question to anyone following:

What is the craziest thing that you have seen at the poker tables? Reason I am asking is because of what happened today.

1st: 80 year old war vet at the table at Aria joins and starts clipping his nails under the table

2nd: girl at Venetian one table over popping a pimple in the armpit at the table and then contuines to play/touch chips.

What the ACTUAL **** is going on today?

Not at the poker table, but I once sat next to someone clipping their toenails on a flight from JFK to GEO. I was gagging.

I'm enjoying the TR. Keep it up!
