Hello Vegas!

Gonna be a short one as I am absolutely dead from travelling and I've been awake for close to 36 hours.

Landed, and managed to get into the biggest line ever at immigration, took well over an hour. Checked in to a very basic room at Nomad, can't complain though as it is mostly comped.

Picked up my $200 free play and cashed out $340 after an uneventful VP session.

Room views below, will update more tomorrow when I have managed to get out of this zombie state.

Go, go, go. I was going to say I’d almost try not to get adjusted and wake up at normal hours at 9am or so in Europe and midnight in a Vegas and start your sessions than.

Yeah that's the plan, I wanted to wait and sleep at more normal hours but couldn't and figured it would be the best decision to play vs the drunk and tired people. Turned out great after a 7 hour session haha.

What a day, and it's not even over!

Woke up at around 1 am, completely rested and headed over to Aria. Had a semi-decent breakfast (?) at the Patisserie and then took a seat at an 1/3 table. As usual the table was absolutely crazy, lots of drunk people and chips flying left right and centre. Except in my direction, I was the one giving them away thanks to a couple of minor coolers.

Anyway, long story short after 7 or so hours and 3 table changes I get it in vs a mid sized stack with JJ against his QQ. Board runs out K9TJT and we are good and shortly after cash out $655 for a total profit of $55. I'll take it!

Went back to the hotel to chill a little, then off to Primrose for breakfast. A++, REALLY good food.

Then I went on a run to collect free play and profited around $200 which is also very decent.

And last but not least, went from Park MGM to Cesars to shop some and now back at the hotel properly exhausted.

Pics in completely random order:

Second mini session at Aria went really well. Played a very strange hand that caught me by surprise.

I call a raise to $15 and we see a flop 5 handed with A5o. Flop is A53 rainbow. Super short stack to my left goes allin for $24. Three callers. I raise to $125 and now the first guy who called goes allin for $270 total so effectively a min raise. Everyone else folds and it's obviously not really a decision so we snap call, although a bit confused about what he could have. Turn is a 5, river bricks and I show. Short stack mucks and the guy who jammed shows 77. That's a very creative line, I like it!

Sat around for 30 more minutes but the table was kind of meh so went over to Cesars to shop, again. In for $300 and out for $570.

Jetlag is kicking in so time to sleep and hopefully wake up at 2-3 am when the drunk people are around.

Also, spoiler alert (although maybe he wanted to mention it). It only took 1 day of pictures of stacks to BigWhale for him to book a flight for this Friday so guess at least part of the trip won't be solo.

Getting punished because of the JJ vs QQ hand it seems haha. First went down to Aria where I ran QQ into the mighty T9o on T high flop, river 9. Guy had literally no idea about poker, first time playing and was up 1.5k. So -1k at Aria.

Went back to the room to chill, but since no breakfast place is open figured I take a taxi over to Bellagio and while there play some 1/3..

Sit down, very first hand 3bet AcQc. Flop JcTc8x and guy just open jams 200. Turn river brick brick and we lose vs AKo.

5 hands later raise TT, get 3bet and I call. Flop 334r, he cbets I put him allin and he calls. Turn A river K and he shows AK.

10 or so hands later call with Jc7c in bb, flop is J72r and we get it in vs QQ. Turn K river K.

New table, call a raise with 7d6d. Flop 668 where we get it in vs a 200 stack. Turn 7 river T and he has 77.

At this point I have no idea what is happening, down 2k at 1/3 in like 5 hours.

Bonus pick of the 76 hand with funny dealer giving the finger haha

Brutal run for MuckPls so far, hopefully it turns around. I definitely won't cancel though. Will update thread later tonight with some thoughts and ramblings.

It’s a joke, all that run bad variance needs to be canceled out by a similar sun run in the coming days.

Random thought:

Sat with the most obnoxious, miserable reg at the 2/5 game. It was insane how bad he was. French guy who was playing for fun did something bad and he started to berate him for minutes on end about how bad he is.

Then he started to berate the dealer and literally everyone else at the table. There is a special place in hell for people who berate dealers and who are abusive against fish. Was so happy when he lost back to back hands and went bust..

Be friendly with dealers, they have no influence on the game and they are there for us.

Especially when the berater clearly doesn't understand basic poker strategy.

Play in a free bar poker league. One guy thinks he's The Master. Frequently, loudly, and annoyingly berating others' play, because nothing he does can possibly be wrong. Tells the dealer how he sucks, because TM isn't getting cards.

The other day, he let himself get down to 2BB, was in the big (1 behind). Small moves in with Q8ss for about 6 blinds. The Master calls, turns over K4o. Turns 8, TM out. Sits for at least twenty more minutes, constantly telling SB how bad he was.

Sigh. What an *******.

Hope you can avoid these people for the rest of the trip and have good cards and good fun.

100% agree with above. Be friendly, tip the dealers, etc.

Sadly it's often foreigners (especially us Europeans) who is labeled as "bad for the game", however all the negative/douchebag behavior I have seen during my trips to Vegas has come from Americans, often locals.

Chill at the room for a bit, then head down to play some VP. In for 350 and out for 400 after hitting quad 2s no kicker.

Then head over to Venetian, sit down at 1/3. Third hand call a raise with Ks9s, flop TsJs3d. Player 1 bets $25, player 2 calls and I make it $85. Only one of them calls. Turn brick check check. River offsuit Q, she jams we snap call and lose to AKo.

Poker is such a fun game, especially for my opponents.

I guess I can use my post #400 on 2+2 to confirm what MuckPls wrote in an earlier entry - I changed my mind and am joining him in Vegas after all

Pending a huge coinflip (lolvid-test on Thursday), I will be flying out on Friday morning from here, and will arrive in Vegas around 7pm that evening. I will also stay until the 15th, so basically only 7 full days. But that's enough for this time around - hopefully can go for a longer trip when the world starts looking a bit more normal later this year.

I will be staying at Park MGM as well, as I had 3 free nights there in comps from low stakes VP degening on previous trips. Hotel is dirt cheap, think it was $21.50 for the room on average each night. But then there is obviously the pesky $39 resort fee in addition.

Will obviously try to win it all back, and regardless i enjoy staying at Park MGM. The location is great, gym is awesome (will sneak in workouts without wearing a mask of course), and the rooms are pretty nice.

As always, let us set up a tentative list with plans I have for the trip:

- Definitely check out Resorts World and their poker room.
- Also want to check out Sahara and get in a session there.
- As always will take at least one trip downtown to play at Golden Nugget + check out Circa!
- Also considering checking out South Point and their $2/$3 game with $600 buy-in.
- Possibly playing some $2/$5 if I feel that I am playing well, likely Bellagio.

That's all I can think of for now at least. Apart from the above will just play it by ear and see what I feel like from day to day. There are also some tournament series in town, so might enter one or two decent tourneys.

Don't get me wrong, I still hate the entire overreaction that is this 'pandemic', and think it's a ****ing joke how we have forgotten life pre-2020. It is downright scary to me how many people actively supports massive restrictions for a virus that hardly kills anyone under 70 years of age. I also detest mask wearing, I hate the fact that I have to prove to the US Government that I am 'healthy' to travel there, and I think world leaders are pure evil scum that doesn't have the best interest of their citizens in mind at all.

But let's leave all that behind for this TR, just wanted to get it out there on paper. I will not focus much on it in my posts, but rather as always combine pictures with HHs, and rather methodically document my results as we go along. I have high hopes on yet another trip with a positive result, although I am aware I have likely been running above average on previous trips. Anything can happen over such a small sample size, but I think my mental game is stronger than ever, and my decision process is probably not hopeless.

So I am very excited to see what this trip has in store for me - I know the experience will be a bit different than what it has in the past, but I hope to enjoy it a lot

Will update further when I have made it to Vegas. Hopefully MuckPls can go on a sun run in the meantime and wipe out the losses.

Some VP fun with a massive draw and a brick. So close, could have been massive.

Edit: wrong order for some reason, but yeah. Dealt straight, then trip 3s on the 8x multiplier and brick all.

Good morning Vegas! And by morning I mean actually morning. Played most of my sessions yesterday at Venetian which went pretty meh. Nothing particularly interesting to talk about, just bad table and bad situations.

Was a bit tilted so went to play some blackjack. $300 dusted in like 5 hands. Add another $300 and after ages I somehow hit a miracle run and cashed out $1300 to save the day!

At this point I am literally a zombie, haven't slept in close to 48 hours. Picked up some melotonin at CVS earlier, went back to the hotel and popped one at around 10 pm. Next thing I know it is 7 in the morning and I've slept 9 hours. Crazy!

Now enjoying an awesome breakfast at Primrose. Time to chill a few hours in the room and then probably hit up Bellagio for some 1/3. The not so good results are below.
