Thought I will get the ball rolling as I have some time on my hands during the holidays.

Link to previous TR:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...-27-a-1709296/

This time we are going for March Madness and staying a total of 11 nights.

We will be a total of 6 people confirmed, with possibly two more people joining.

Me and sicarriu5: Flying out from Malta on the 25th of March, going through Frankfurt - San Francisco - Las Vegas and the same way back on the 5th of April. We will be sharing a room at the Mirage. That is if we dont run bad, as our connection at FRA is absolutely ridiculous. Oh well, flips..

BigWhale and his brother: Flying out of Oslo on the 23rd of March and going back home on the 4th of April. Staying at ????? - hopefully not tunnels!

There are two other friends who will fly to LA from Malta, get a car and spend a few days there before driving to Vegas and staying until the 5th as well.

Let the countdown begin, 90 days to go! Will update the thread when we get a bit closer to everything.

Happy holidays!

Basically saying thousands missed their flights due to slow security controls.

Run good, happy holidays.

Yeah if the plane from Malta isn’t delayed then we are good. We have one hour to connect in FRA and we arrive and depart from the same terminal, just have to go one level up.

You will miss the first week of March Madness and the Final Four, but you'll catch everything in between.

Small bump with an update, because why not.

Brag: Last year degen paid off. We originally planned to stay 11 nights at the Mirage in a shared room with J. I was lucky to check MGM offers and basically got 8 nights comped + a bunch of free play and resort credit at Bellagio. So will be splitting and staying 6 nights at the B and 5 nights at the Mirage. Pretty sick!

Beat: Could not book back to back comps so have to move between hotels.

Variance: 54 long and painful days until we leave.

Hey. Got your pm, will let you know once we are there. Can not promise anything as we will be a group of 6 scattered between 4 different properties, so it will be hard enough to manage

Heya all (Again). Not too much left Update on the squad..

A total of seven (MuckPls - K | sicarriu5 - J, yours truly | BigWhale - O | LilWhale - O's brother (Username TBC??) | D | R | M) confirmed going. We'll be quite spread out on the whole of the Strip.

Not trying to pull off any Cicada 3301 sh*t here but going with forum standard on initials with associated usernames.

Epic trip incoming, and we now also have non-Scandi reps so expect pasta, vodka and croissants.

One month left to go, counting down the minutes to our trip.

Figured I will update with some plans.

We have reservations booked at the following places:

-Hell´s Kitchen
-Sinatra
-Wing Lei

Tourneys that I will definitely play:

Tuesday, March 26, 2019 6:10 PM 27 $200 NLH Bounty $9K GTD (1Day)

Tuesday, April 2, 2019 6:10 PM 3 $200 NLH Bounty $9K GTD (1Day)

Thursday, April 4, 2019 6:10 PM 8 $125 NLH Bounty $6K GTD (1Day)

Wynn 12:00pm $230 NL Holdem - No Limit Hold'em on Saturday

Rest will be cash game mainly at the Bellagio for my part.

As mentioned earlier, this trip will be different in many ways. One of them is that I have an ongoing side bet with J and O that prevents me from any -EV gambling except for a $500 VP bullet. Will be very interesting to be in Vegas of all places and mostly play poker - but the side bet stakes are pretty big (5 figures) so will do my best not to break it.

Two main reasons for the above. One of them being that I would like to focus more on poker this trip and the second more obvious is that although I had some decent scores I lost an absolute sh*tload last year. No wonder I have comped offers for every single Mlife property in Vegas haha.

As mentioned by J we ended up with 7 people, all flying in from different locations and different times but we will all be in Vegas for a week or so together.

Most of us will be checking in before our trip for a similar summary. Now only thing left is to count the days and hope we are lucky with our super tight connection on our way to Vegas!

For our Swedish/Nordic viewers: Badsalt och en handduk, hur kul är det???

Well, I have never done a single bet in my entire life so can’t really see myself starting now

Don’t know about the others tho.

Absolutely insane that we are leaving in 12 short days, time has really flown by incredibly fast.

Some mandatory stuff as per 2+2 tradition.

That’s pretty much it, figured I bump the thread and dust off Tapatalk. Rest of the crew are expected to post this week as well!

By echoing the sentiment of MuckPls as above, it's time to dust off this thread. I have for weeks now felt that the trip is still miles away (time-wise), yet here we are with pretty much only a week left until reaching US soil.

After not being in Vegas for 5 years prior to last year, this will suddenly be my third trip within 12 months! Not that I'm complaining though

Trip will be slightly different this time, as I have gotten my brother to join this time. That means that we will accompany each other on the travel. I am going to Norway next Thursday, and then we are leaving for Vegas on Saturday. Although he will definitely not bring TLDR-posts like my own to the thread, he will also chime in on occasion with some updates etc.

For the travel we will be going Oslo (Norway) - Arlanda (Sweden) - Los Angeles - Las Vegas. Due to insane hotel prizes for first weekend of March Madness we are actually staying one night in LA before flying out to Vegas super early Sunday morning (24th March). But coming from Europe with severe jetlag, it won't be an issue getting up early that day. So we are arriving almost two full days before K and J.

Being baller Norwegians with plenty of oil money (as the jealous Swedes mentioned above would say ), we are having one room each at MGM Signature for the stay. When me and brother last were in Vegas together (2013) we did stay at MGM Grand, so already somewhat familiar with the area. Have seen some YouTube-videos that shows what to expect regarding the room, and I am really stoked about staying there for 10-11 days (leaving 4th April).

As always I have a few tentative plans, so let's see how much of the below I can complete:

---
- Work out a lot. Not gonna promise every day, but enough to somewhat limit the effect of food intake.
- Visit Topgolf (brother is an avid golfer, I can on occasion hit the ball).
- Take the High Roller for some scenic view.
- Play at least one of the 8-game tourneys at The Orleans. Tradition by now.
- Play a decent amount of VP, in a much more correct manner than during my solo trip last November.
- One cash game session of at least 7 hours. *
- Minimum one trip Downtown, hopefully two.
- Swipe Tinder, likely without any ounce of success.
- Play at one off-strip casino that I haven't tried before (thinking South Point or maybe Red Rock or GVR).
- Relax, hopefully with a lot of pool visits (weather permitting) and massages.
---

In addition to above, it will obviously be a lot of cash and tourney play. Might play slightly more tourneys than last time, although with having pretty much 11 full days in Vegas I should manage close to 40 hours cash game play as well.

* Regarding the cash game goal of 7 hours above, I have actually never played a session longer than around 5.5 hours. On previous visits I have casino hopped a lot, but this time I am keen on having at least one fairly long session at the same location. Poker room and date to be determined at a later stage.

I will come back with a proper shoe + roll pic in a few days.

In closing, I just want to say that I am super stoked about this trip. I really enjoyed my last trip as well (November), but there is something to be said for having someone to share the experiences with. And having my brother there as well will be extra fun.

Will obviously update this thread every day with pictures and walls of text in standard fashion. I am very certain my poker game has improved a lot since last time, and hopefully that will give results at the tables. But first and foremost I'm gonna relax and have fun - even if below lyrics will be the result:

FWIW South Point was built by the same organization that built the Orleans. Although newer, the casino layout is basically the same as the Orleans. It has different restaurants, etc, but if you want to visit a place that's a lot different than the Orleans, I suggest Red Rock. It's much closer to the Strip than GVR.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. Red Rock is a very good alternative yes, seems they have a decent amount of games as well.
