Damn a half hour is not long enough for a compulsive post-editor like me.

I was going to say that, even if your shove wasn't strictly a bluff, per se, it could have gotten AQ, KK or AA to fold if V was a thinking or timid player.

I appreciate sharing your thoughts on every street. I don't think he will ever fold a Q there, though. He might even call with KJ. Anyway, I did not have the A.

Today, I played my last session of the trip (Wynn, one hour, +$12). I used my Resorts World comps for a delicious meal at Crossroads, which is one of the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to.

I walked along the Strip for one last time, passing a hotel I will never see again in my life:

Farewell, Mirage.

I kept walking and ended up at the Bellagio. Obviously, I had to see the fountain show one more time. Of course, it did not disappoint.

I'll wrap up the TR at a later time (with more random thoughts and stuff), but these results are final:

Cash Total: +$1777
Tournament Total: -$500
Overall: +$1277

Those are some good-looking numbers!

Congrats on a successful trip, in every sense.

Welp, this ruminant is staying in Vegas for one more night.

The plane didn't get the green light for take-off, because it was too heavy. Apparently, air pressure and temperature have something to with it as well. It took the airport/airline people 4.5 hours to come to the conclusion that it wasn't going to work (they tried unloading some cargo, but that wasn't enough). So that was a fun 4.5 hours.

I'm staying at the Orleans for the night. We're going to try again tomorrow morning.

Only one thing to do; go down to the poker room and destroy some local nits

Sheep packed all the legal weed into his bag and now the plane is overweight.

I was way, way too tired to play even a single hand of poker. A Ruminant Artiodactyl in Vegas: 05/26 - 06/13 TR I got to the hotel pretty late, because we had to wait another 1.5 hour for our luggage.

Now boarding at the airport again. Hopefully we'll actually go somewhere this time. A Ruminant Artiodactyl in Vegas: 05/26 - 06/13 TR

The checked luggage didn't arrive in time, so I'm going to have to wait several days for my suitcase to get delivered at my home. This return flight is one big fail.

Oof. Hopefully they deliver it and you don’t need to go back to the airport?

A bad end to a Vegas trip is depressing - last year after 0/5 in big mtts I got robbed at LA airport and then came back to my car having been damaged at the airport. Really sucked at the time but…all part of the variance I guess?

Hope your trip has been fun

Nice report Sheep - congrats on some profit......pic of the Mirage made me sad....I was definetly playing there in it's hayday between 2003-2006....during my 2005 trip month long trip, I spent 80% of my time in that room playing 2/5 and 20/40 LHE.....found memories for sure....magical times for poker

The way I see it, the airline runbad should mean you have poker rungood due you the next time you return to Las Vegas.

Yeah, I remember that. That's definitely worse than a delayed flight plus delayed luggage.

Anyway, I'd say the trip was moderately successful. There are a few misplayed hands that are still bugging me, though. Such is the fate of a perfectionist.

Some final thoughts. More than two weeks of Vegasing is a lot. I'm happy with my decision to go on a road trip, because I really needed a break from poker. In hindsight, I could have booked one more night in Utah, but whatever. Valley of Fire and Bryce Canyon were gorgeous.

Something I definitely won't be missing is the tourists on the Strip. I mean the pedestrians, of course. Here's a top 3 of things that annoyed me the most:
  1. Slow people walking next to each other, taking up way too much lateral space in the process.*
  2. Dumb people ignoring red lights, not even looking if cars are approaching.
  3. Lazy people who don't move on escalators. I've seen people actually queue in front of a escalator, while there wasn't a single person on the adjacent stairs. Like taking a few extra steps will kill you. (Reminds me of this post.)

*Allow me to share this great quote from DonkeyCopter:

Nothing eventful happens on the walk, I peek inside the MGM and decide against playing at Aria, since the game at Bellagio was so good a couple days ago. Back over the bridges and through pedestrian traffic I'm busting more than one swim move around the tourists who seem content with spending their Vegas hours taking up as much lateral space on the sidewalk as possible and doing their best impressions of Jabba the Hutt making his way to the counter at the DMV.
To end on a positive note: I spotted a car registration plate from Hawaii.

People with no spatial awareness definitely put me on tilt. A common obstacle on the strip.

It wouldn't be Vegas without mobs of people flooding into crosswalks against the light, and the accompanying symphony of angry ride share driver horns.

Especially common at the Paris Arc de Triomphe entrance and the Palazzo entrance leading towards Wynn.

Two days into my trip so far and I can’t even count how many times I got cut off, I couldn’t get around people, or people just walked right into my path etc - it isn’t even busy here right now really woof

I've heard the term 'meanderthals'. Clueless people who are oblivious to the traffic around them and just meander about, especially dead center of the aisle we are trying to walk down.

Surprised there aren't a lot more dead people at Paris. I lean on the horn more there than in all my other traffic encounters put together. And I don't have a Honda, I got a loud horn.
