If you haven't been to Red Rock (national park?), highly recommended. Easy drive out, beautiful scenery, some easy hikes (not required) if that suits you. Great way to spend a couple of hours away from the casino/strip.

Yeah Hoover Dam is fine if you happen to be driving through but I wouldn’t take a day out of my vacation to drive there and look around

yeah we did the dam. not my choice, one of my mates is an civil engineer who works with bridges, so the dam and the monumentum (?) bridge it was.

give it a real 4/10. the dam in itself is interesting, but 4k tourists with small children and babies is not my cup of tea.

only ate about 4 hours of the day, so no issue.

chilling at the vdara spa now. got it all to my self. i guess the 60$ daypass keeps people out. and agree with them, its not worth 60. but when you are here every 2 years or so, it doesent count.



robe, fresh pressed oj and a chill enviroment is what i need for 2.5 days of hardcore playing.

after this dinner (carbone?) and then 1-2 PLO. if i get above 6.6k i will do 2 bullets at the 5-10 or 2-5-10 game

had a sick bj sesh late night. think i averaged 150 dollar/bet for 2 hours. had 600 on a hand and pushed 4 times in a row.

at the v now playing the dse. will play hard today. need a very good stack if im going to dedicate my last day for day2.

Hey all!

First, I'm sorry about stopping the live updates. Same as last trip, I run out of steam nearing the end and just don't have the energy to keep the thread going. Next trip I will for sure just make it a picture thread during the trip and then do daily recaps after the fact.

Anyhow, just a fast summary of the last days.

So Saturday I fired 2 bullets into the 250$ at Venetian.
No dice on that, just std tournament play with no real highpoint.

Headed back and did som more PLO. That went fine, ended up cashing out +315 for the session. Had some drinks and did lemongrass for dinner. I just love their Singapore Noodles. Good stuff.

Sunday was our last day. We were driving to LA for the flight at 0600 Monday morning, so chill Sunday. Did 2 PLO sessions, one for +475, and then my last session for the night was going bad. My friends were at the rail, waiting to go back to topgolf for some fun before closing out the trip. 1 more hand I say (100% degenerated mode, would probably say this for the next 20 hands at least) and I somehow get a 6-6-6 flop with a 6 in my hand and someone with AAxx going crazy. Thanks I guess, ended last session in the black for +240, nice!

All in all, a very good trip. But, next time will be solo again. I find going on trips with several buddies kinda forces you to make compromises each day. What to eat, what to do etc.
Its fun, but I love Vegas for the relaxation and freedom I get there, and I enjoy it more alone.

Next trip will be in march next year, or at least that's the goal. I managed to rack up 40k tier credits and I have already gotten several 3-4 days comp offers in email etc.

Will be looking to do a friday-saturday trip for 8 nights next time. Or something like that.

Ended up winning somewhere around 5.5 on PLO and losing around 2k on Blackjack (my life profile says 1350 in losses, but I think it was higher)
Had 2.9k USD in cash when I arrived back in Norway. I always use USD to close out my room, shop for clothes etc as I get a bad conversion rate back home, which proved to be true. 8,25 vs 8,61 USD->NOK

Oh and also, one last run good (I think?) - Plane got cancelled. So I got 24 hours extra in LA, booked into Hilton LAX. While its never good to be late home, I got 1 more day vacation and the airline had to compensate with 600 Euro, in addition to Hotel and food comps for the 24 hours. Nice! I only payed around 650 in total for flight (excluding business upgrade) so I basically flew for free.

Did you have to complain to get the compensation or did they automatically give it to everyone that was affected?

And thanks for the write up. Don't sweat how thorough it was. I'm sure it take a lot of effort.

You have to fill some documents. 10 minutes work. But it is "opt in" for the flight compensation. We once had that with BA. One extra day in LV all expenses paid and an extra night in hotel. Was great
