Curious how much the poker room comps will be. My guess is $1 an hour in a place with really expensive food.

Poker Atlas says $1/hour. That is surprising. PA has all the buy in limits/etc.
1/3nl $100 to $400
2/5nl $200 to $1200
5/10nl $500 to $3000

Steve: It’s all relative, I’ve been in a Venetian where they charge 46 dollars for plain egg fried rice.

What's your definition of bottom shelf liquor? Is this only for the poker room?

Do any casinos still comp top shelf liquor for regular guests anywhere on the casino floor?

When people say bottom shelf, they usually mean well liquor. Because people in marketing are creative, there's also a category between top and bottom shelf that's called premium liquor. I would be surprised if you can't get the latter category at RW. +1 to that being a bad move.

I don't really drink liquor anymore except for whiskey/rum sippers so my more extensive experiences aren't that recent but I remember even at Cosmo and Bellagio the highest they went for comped vodka was Absolut and Ketel One. We asked several different waitresses for Belvedere and the answer was a friendly "sorry, can't do".

About 15 years ago, I was playing poker at LV Hilton and a local guy was ordering Johnnie Walker Blue Label double neat with orange juice back and was doing that all day everyday and getting it for free. Insane. lol

You’re probably thinking of Pompsie, and there is a bit of a resemblance, but that’s not him.

They are jamming, but look at all those people on the waiting list. They’re short on dealers on the first day?

How many tables do they have?

30

I think it is 27 normal tables, 2 set up for streaming games with RFID. And 1 whatever they are calling their feature room.

Waiting for a seat wasn't bad, staff are handling things well all things considered. 20 ain't too deep, some of those are call-ins.

They had 2 cashiers out of 3 spots at the dedicated poker cage, might be better to utilize all 3 today but the line wasn't too bad there. The line to sign up for players card on the casino floor was long, the poker cage printed me one in 5 min.

Go watch that first hand video. Stacked deck!! Spoiler recap:

Looks like everyone has $300. (The internet says they don't have any NL games with a $300 max, so what 's up with that?) Someone in EP opens to $25, called by guy filming (first loose "what the hell" guy, meaning "what the hell, I don't care, I call"), HJ calls (obvious tight-weak player, OMC, why is he even playing here?), CU shoves for around $300 (whaaat?), SB (obnoxious guy, second loose "what the hell" guy) calls the all-in BLIND, first loose guy calls, HJ calls. Only the EP opener folded. We don't see the first loose guy's cards (but he seemed to imply either AK or two unpaired middle cards), other loose guy had junk. CU had AA, HJ (OMC) had KK.

Fun times had by all! Reserve us a seat...

They have auto shufflers right? You are still supposed to scramble a new deck before loading it. Maybe dealer did not do that. lol

The KK did indeed 3 bet, prior to the 4 bet ship of 300.
