Confirmed... no jackpot for now. There will probably be one later. According to the floor.

Checked out the casino today. I can't speak for what resort amenities they offer or the quality of the hotels. But the casino was, in a word, lame.

- Self-parking garage situation is terrible. I expect a high end property to have an indoors connection directly to the casino, which this certainly does not. I'm in fine physical shape and don't mind walking at all. But I do mind that a) it feels like a lower brow, targeted-for-locals situation with the disconnected garage, b) dodging traffic while on foot from the garage to the casino is not pleasant and nor is c) being exposed in the hot sun during the day, on that walk.

- Signage, both indoors and outdoors, was often ambiguous if not downright terrible. An incomprehensible joke really, worst I've ever seen in a casino. I didn't actually see signage to direct one to the poker room; I found the poker room by happenstance.

- Poker room was nicely appointed and there's something to be said for having it out of the way of things, which can be a draw. Me personally, as long as no one has a problem finding the room (again, directional signage would have helped) I actually prefer that it not be in a noisy, slot-infested area. That said, it looked lifeless and I didn't bother playing with only a handful of tables going.

- Sportsbook, which is the only other gaming I care about, was laughably concealed, small and lame. Like why even bother.

- Lots of food options positioned on the periphery of the gaming floor. Points for that.

- Cashless transaction potential was what drew me to the property more than anything else. I hate carrying cash. However, when I found out the transaction fee was close to 3% to load the account in any fashion (PayPal, ACH, credit card, conversion of gaming chips), every single time, that was a massive letdown. I can't see many people bothering with it. I sure as hell will not.

- All in all it seems like gaming is an afterthought here. The one thing that could have brought over players would be a fee-less cashless transaction system, but with that out of play, I have to agree with previous comments that there's no gaming motivation to come here over the Wynn, Aria or anywhere else that positions itself as highest end luxury. An underwhelming letdown of a casino.

Parking is Definitely the rub

I was just thinking that you may need about a couple of years to get a 3% coupon on some bonds - yet it will take 1 second to burn that coupon away at RW cashless xtravaganza

Park in the Hilton garage, quickly accessible from Sammy Davis. Poker room is like one minute from the garage elevators.

How long until Hilton starts charging for parking?

so RW poker room is mostly thumbs down to this point?

why would there be so many locals there (according to Trooper vid)? just tourists take longer to discover new places?

also from Trooper's video - no way I'm standing in line 20 minutes for a food refund - just call up credit card company and dispute the charge the next day.

No idea, but probably not long.

As far as the poker room, I still prefer Wynn and Caesars, but I would/do choose it over Aria and Bellagio, at least for the time being. The dealers for the most part are solid, wait times have been short to get in games, using PokerAtlas before leaving home. The 3 times I've played, the games have been good, but that might be just about everywhere right now.

I talked to some of the construction workers on the mile long walk back to my car in the southern parking structure and they told me that RW is only about 50% complete. it may be SOME TIME until they start charging... as all the workers use those lots... but that time will come.

the buffet looks pretty disappointing as well, from the several reviews.

Whats up with the food at this place? Anyone have any good reviews of the venues here?

Where can you use the comps? At all the food places - or some don't take them, or you have to use double points at some places?

I assume locals want to check out the new place while parking is still free.

You got it, there are 2 parking garages. One is in Africa and the other dumps you right next to the poker room with no outside walk (the signage sucks but it is the furthest north entrance via Sammy Davis)

Went to check it out last weekend. Wife and I took a taxi out there in the late morning. Walked around a bit, had a great lunch from multiple vendors. Used the kiosk to order from 4 different places and got a text from each when food was ready (all within 2 min).

Headed to poker room and found a single 1/3 table running. 3 or 4 2/5 players waiting for them to open a 2/5 game, and 3 or 4 1/3 players. They do have UTG and button straddles. I think I saw a live UTG straddle and UTG+1 double straddle.

Eventually they opened a 2nd 1/3 table. Then opened a 2/5 table and then my 1/3 table became less than full. Not a big deal, but maybe if they opened the 2/5 first the 1/3 would have been kept full.

Nice room, good dealers, good cocktail service.

It's too bad they only match the highest tiers from their competitors. Nothing for Diamond Elite or MLife Platinum for example. Recently Wynn matched their Black card with Diamond Elite. What I should have done is gone to get that first before going to Resorts. Hopefully they'll continue to match later this year.

Dealers are part of the room so no, you are not supporting the room and it’s not a surprise that they would chase someone like you out of the room. You offer nothing.

You are seriously one of the biggest pieces of s***t that give poker players a bad name.

You rip on people you haven't even met and don't tip the dealers? I know who you are as you were at my table once. You better hope I don't see you again. If I catch you outside, you wont know what hit you........

Dealers don’t want you at the table. Not only because you don’t tip but also because if recreational players see non-tippers they might think it’s OK to not tip.

Besides that, other players don’t want you at their table. In I don’t know how many hours of live poker I can’t remember seeing a single non-tipper who was good for the game. (Not including players who only refuse to tip a specific dealer for personal reasons)

If I'm the dealer I'd rather break the game than have a game with no tipper... If you don't tip, play online.
