I don’t see much of a reason for people to prefer this property over others in town though. I would rather play in a locals casino or something like the Aria or the Wynn, and judging by the number of games they run it looks like other poker players have reached the same conclusion. I suspect that is true for people that play the slots and pit games too.
And I think the poker room isn’t bad at all. I might play there more than I initially suspected because the waiting lists aren’t crazy long like they are at Aria and Bellagio, especially if they keep some 2-5 NL going. But I thought the rest of the property was pretty underwhelming. It looks great from the outside in my opinion and the mall could be interesting in the future, but it’s mostly empty so far.
As for the rest of the casino, I’ve been hearing more and more negative stuff as time has gone by.
