Any thoughts on the resort worlds poker room becoming the best room in town

"Next-generation 110,000-square-foot casino complete with slots, table games, high-limit gaming areas, private gaming salons, dedicated poker room, and a 14,000-square-foot Entertainment Zone, which includes a race and sports book and featured live entertainment"

I can see the future, and what I see are three tables of hot 1/2nl action on a Friday night.

I think you will be able to use "myVegas" for something there. That would be nice.

Was supposed to open in December of 2020 but now they pushed it to Summer of 2021.

How do you equate "A dedicated poker room" to being the best room in town?

I've logged hundreds of hours in Resorts World in New York State, it's a good room for it's location but I don't know how the Las Vegas property is gonna compete with the other well established Vegas rooms.

There have been so many changes/issues with that hotel that I wouldn't start banking on a poker room being part of the final layout. For basically all of Resorts World and it's feature, you basically just have to say "I'll believe it when I see it".

word on the street is it will be a huge blow to the encore poker room and they plan on hiring top talent to run the joint

I wish there was a legit way to bet against this. Maybe I’ll find a prediction market for this. To me Resorts World seems like a cursed property. They may not even have a poker room at all.

I think this property will change all that 'cursed' talk... they are full speed ahead in terms of construction, it's position is great on the strip in terms of relationship to the new convention center, Wynn property and mall... I think this will change that area of the upper end of the strip. The defunked lucky Dragon property will be open again in May so things are changing.

Full speed ahead??? The land has been ready for them for years, they were recently sued by Wynn, they keep on changing their theme and ideas for the hotel, etc etc. Quite simply, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

I know nothing about Resorts World, only that I was in town this past summer and saw all the cranes... I really hope they're the new next big thing, their goals seem lofty enough.

I guess time will tell.

Ignorant post is ignorant.
Have you seen the building taking place? After the initial law suit, the construction site is now on fire... the entire hotel is almost completely covered, the theater is completely skinned, there are THOUSANDS of workers on site daily, there are more massive cranes at that site than there are at the raider stadium site... the strip mall properties across from the site are beginning to fill up with new businesses. Lucky dragon property WILL re open early next year. The face of industrial is going to be changed forever.

I'm in that area on nearly a daily basis... the change has been extremely dramatic over the last six months.

Lucky Dragon It won't have a casino from what I am told... it's obviously not 'lucky dragon's any longer.

Pretty substantial progress from the law suit era...

It will be the Ahern... non-gaming and convention space.

I may be mis-remembering, but isn't this sort of how the Rio launched?
