Remedial question about booking multiple rooms Remedial question about booking multiple rooms

Probably a dumb question, but you know what they say, there aren't any dumb questions, only dumb people.

I have offers for free rooms for pretty much everywhere in Vegas. Is there anything that stops me from booking a room at two different places under my name and letting friends use the other room?

Friends have not been to Vegas and we want to go together but it really won't matter if we stay at the same hotel.

I would think if both properties were from the same group it might get red flagged (like can't stay at Mandalay Bay and MGM) but what about a CET property and an MLife property.

Can I do that?

If it’s an offer, I doubt you’ll be able to book multiple rooms in the same company, but there’s nothing stopping you from one MGM, one Caesars, etc. You will need to be there to check in but you can put someone else’s name on the room.

If you’re trying to book two rooms at the same hotel with an offer they might let you get the deal for both rooms and they might not. They might also casino rate you for the second room.

I've done the booking at two different "groups" regularly for the last 20 years with no hint of an issue. As eco74 noted, I've also been OK'd for a second room comped (at Mirage, I think) and a casino rate (several other properties). Seems to be a pretty common request.

Note that if you take a comped room for friends at a property and show no play there, it may affect future offers - get a couple of extra players club cards and tell them to use them if playing there.

Not only have I done this and let friends I trust use the second room, last October my wife and I booked Bellagio comped and also Palazzo the same nights, but one extra night at Palazzo.

We left a bag and extra toothbrush on the room, and used the dining and gambling credits. Use of the pool and shower in room was great as a late check out option for free that last day.

worst case scenario, I have a close friend who did this at Caesars and Venetian once, and his "friend" met a female for entertainment and because the friends name was on the room, his credit card was crushed when she went to town charging stuff all through the next day. the room friend was short of cash anyway, and I'm not sure my buddy ever got fully paid bACK.

That said, I trust the people. or couples, we give those rooms to when we are out there. we have never had an issue.
