the only cartridges worth a crap in vegas are BaM and ROVE. everything else is garbo.

Augie, will the 2 cartridges you recommended fit on any 510 thread vape pen or do they have a proprietary? Trying to decide whether to pack pens, headed that way tomorrow for 2 weeks.

yes, both of those will fit the basic battery threads. however depending on where you buy the ROVE cartridges you can grab a battery for $5 or $10, ROVE offers good deals on the batteries because they really want you to use them. i actually happen to agree, the rove carts taste better with the rove battery. but they are still usable with a regular battery.

i love the lime flavored BaM carts. the one i had was 90% THC and it was so yummy, it tasted like lime candy.

almost every cartridge in town will fit the basic threads with only a couple exceptions. the budtender will let you know.

my favorite dispensary is probably Medizin but mainly because they've always had good deals for those with medical cards. not worth the uber ride if you're a tourist.

i wouldn't recommend a specific dispensary as much as i would a specific grower. hit up weedmaps and find a place that has cannabiotix or polaris flower and it's impossible to be disappointed.

for my money, Birthday Cake by Polaris is the one "must purchase" item - if you can find it. last time i saw it on the market was the day before rec started. i bought an oz, went back 2 days later to get another and it was gone. once the stoner community catches wind of Birthday Cake on the market they swoop in like a gang of vultures and buy it all up.

who knows how the heck they managed to grow weed that smells like cake but they did.

runner up is L'Orange by Cannabiotix. smoking that is like taking a drink of orange juice.

I went to Acres Dispensary b/c I wanted to try something different and my first cartridge was running out. They have $30 eights and I they had blue dream. They had some Rove Cartridges and the budtender assured me would work on my Openvape Battery.

I went home and sampled the cartridge first. It was a Sativa called Haze. After some trial and error the rove cartridge will work but you have to hold the battery button down to draw. The oil seems to be of good quality and seems to be of similar strength to the other cartridge I had.

The blue dream eighth was ok, but not the strongest stuff I have ever had.

I went to Shango and picked up a preroll of something called Cheesecake. That's an indica and some of the best I have had. I'll get more of that when I run out of flower if its around. I picked up a bunch of edibles, mainly lemon drops and some chocolate for discreet usage and concerts.

The cheesecake was so good I went back two days later to get more. They told me all prerolls were sold out. They told me they sold 1000 prerolls in 2 days.

So I went down the road to Top Notch Dispensary which is actually pretty close to home and they had some prerolls from Cannabiotix, but they were more expensive, $15. Sigh. So I picked up Firewalker OG. It was pretty damn good as well.


I am seriously considering getting a medical card for the better prices and better edibles.

The Grove might be the closest one, just west of Thomas & Mack Center. Should be a 10 minute Uber ride from Aria or 30 minutes to walk.

Between the price and the annoying customer service I've found at most of these places, I think I actually prefer the old methods. It's nice to be able to select certain strains, but $130 for a quarter is just robbery. And all these places employ millenials who are probably thrilled to be paid $9/hr to say they work at a dispensary. And to regurgitate everything they know about weed to anyone who comes in, whether they are tourists or regulars. I pretty much always know what I want before I even get in, so to have to sit and listen to some cross-eyed college **** tell me what terpines are everytime I go in is just painful. I miss the excitement of dealing with someone who had made a conscious decision to make money in a way that was against the law. Someone who's life is usually crazy enough to be an entertaining side-story to any dealings. Half of the weiner kids that work in these places probably would be shot dead if they tried to do it on their own. Maybe I'm weird, but thinking about that just makes me nostalgic for the old days.

Lot's of product (flower, concentrate and edibles). I liked the availability of some very discreet disposable flavored pens. No mess, no fuss, recyclable. Social was I believe the brand. Is it the best? Probably not. Also the salted caramel chews. Mmmm. Not very strong, but have two...

It's risky and probably not worth it, but I've put somewhere between 1-2 ozs of flower rolled up into a sock in my suitcase. It was not super strong smelling bud, I wouldn't try it if it was. Had no issues, and you could never smell it. The airport scanner can't see it because it's organic material like the sock that's surrounding it.

What do tourists do with their pot? Just bring edibles into the casinos or whatever and discretely eat them?

I fly with mmj vape pens everywhere I go. Simply separate the battery from the cartridge, put the cartridge in a plastic Ziploc with your other toiletries like lotion, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc as all liquids and ecig cartridges are supposed to go in Ziploc bags on you carry on. If you put the cartridge in your checked bags, the pressure can explode it or force the liquid out.

Stick to the carry on method with eliquid. I fly 1-2x a month for work and it's never failed me, not even when I cleared had to clear customs to fly to Madrid, Spain and back.

As far as easy access w/o a car from the Strip- Releaf dispensary at the corner of Sahara & Paradise is the way to go IMO

It is accessible via monorail to the SLS Station. Look for McDonalds. Releaf is in the same parking lot. < 5 min walk from the monorail station

what is the policy on legal weed in the casinos?

if you only smoke vape weed can you freely use it inside the casino? i know this isnt legal per se but interested in if its being enforced

is it legal to use marijuana in a smoking casino hotel room? legally and is it enforced?

and lastly what are the vape options at vegas dispensaries? do they have disposable carts? 510 threaded carts? and sell batteries?
