I don't think they care unless you bother other hotel guests or leave a smell in the room after checking out.

At Bellagio, where housekeeping picks up your clothes from the floor to fold them nicely, one of my friends came back to his room to find a bag of confectioners sugar on top of a neat stack of clothes. Must have dropped from his pants pocket when housekeeping picked them up. I think he put a $20 tip on his pillow the next day.

i feel so bad for these poor dispensary workers. before recreational, the customers were so much kinder and saner.

the entire customer base was comprised of "productive stoners," people who are huge potheads but were smart and resourceful enough to acquire a medical marijuana card. in general, this person has a sunny disposition and is nice to be around.

the average stoner is dumb as a box of rocks and also very lazy. to get a MMJ card you have to find a weed doctor and drag yourself there and you also need a few extra hundred dollars. both very tall orders for the average pothead.

but now, any dick off the street can walk in to these places. every time i've been to a dispensary lately there has been someone who was very angry or totally insane. some of the "medical patients" have been angry too, but for opposite reasons.

the rec customers are getting pissed because the med card holders get to cut to the front of the line. i think their anger is justified because deep down everyone knows MMJ is largely a charade. i feel like a total dick cutting in front of 10 people sitting there waiting. and i might have been the 4th person in a row to just skate in and walk right past them.

i think i'm going to rant later about MMJ and how dumb it is. because the alternate source of anger is coming from "medical patients" who are now angry because the price of their "medicine" has gone way up, the rec customers are purchasing a lot of the stock, reducing their access to their "medicine" and the wait times are longer as well. so now these angry unstable "med patients" are yelling at the poor $11/hr dispensary worker who has nothing to do with anything they are angry about.

their righteous anger is BS because everyone knows this isn't your ****ing medicine dude, you are just a pothead. nevada has much tighter standards than california but they include chronic pain as a qualifying condition. so that means everyone is included. so now idiots feel justified yelling at dispensary workers because 8ths are not $25 anymore because they told some crazy doctor that they injured their shoulder 4 years ago and it never stopped hurting.

That is some seriously insightful stuff. It takes a dope smoker to see all the levels involved

Noob question, it is legal to purchase weed for non-US citizens as well right? Coming over from Europe soon and I am very excited for this.

Citizenship doesn't matter, residency does. People who live in Nevada are allowed to buy more than people from out of state, no matter if they are from another US state or another country. Bring your passport, that might be the only form of ID they accept if you aren't a (permanent) US resident.

Just to be save, since there was some discussion about taking stuff home with you on a plane: Don't do it if you travel back to Europe. Especially if you have an international stopover, you also don't want to have clothes in your suitcase smell like weed. That's obv. not illegal (in Europe) but very unpleasant to miss your connection flight because you and your luggage are going through a secondary inspection because a dog sniffed something.

Thanks! No I would definitely not risk taking home any since availability is great here.

I have never before purchased weed legally so will be an amazing experience.

I just bought a 1/4 of La Confidential yesterday at Acres for $50 out the door on the rec side. If you can't afford those prices, yeah....you should quit smoking.

so i just got back from LA and i tried to sample as many different brands of vape concentrates as I could. I found FlavRX to be consistent and Alpine to be the strongest ime.

I will be in Vegas in a couple days and the prices for the concentrates are $50-65 per gram and LA was the same for a whole gram.

I see all the talk of insufficient supply but there are also some concentrates that are comparable in price, specifically the brass monkey brand cartridges.

My question is, given the irrational pricing is there any concentrate brand i can get fro ~$50/gram that anyone has tried or would recommend?

Thanks in advance

Probably not the right forum to ask these questions but I will try anyway.

Since rec sales have begun, has the price of black market weed gone up or down. oz and kilo prices mostly. Any growers here? Would really like to know the effect this has had on you and your operation.

basically stayed the same. most of the black market weed i've seen in vegas comes from cali or oregon. all of the large grow operations petered out once the dispensaries came around.

if you have a decent connection you're looking at $250/oz up to $400/oz.

judging by the nature of your question, you have your own grow operation? you will get crushed by legal weed, so use your skills to get a decent job with a regulated operation!

Not arguing with you, just asking: all the legal weed grows & dispensaries have to deal w/ an absolute #$^load of oversight and regulation, plus the state (at least Colorado) levies heavy taxes, especially on recreational sales. While it is my understanding that a lot of Northern California growers were not / are not happy about legal weed (infringes on their profit margin) I would think that black market retail sellers would still be able to sell for significantly less than recreational dispensaries.

Yes, no, or it's more complicated than that??

Coincidentally, I'm flying to Colorado tomorrow (mostly just for fun/vacation) but am going to try to make a contact for vape pens.

Since he's asking about kilo prices, I'd assume his operation isn't small scale. Not sure what the impact will be on wholesalers on the illegal market though. I'd assume a kilo of quality product is in the $4-5k+ range but I have zero knowledge about the LV (or US in general) market.

i meant to say, black market prices are about the same as they were before legalization. not that they are the same price as legal weed.

right now black market is significantly cheaper than legal recreational in NV, yes. but once the prices settle out nobody will want to use the black market. it's too nice to just go to the store and get exactly what you want. you can also know it's not riddled with feces and pesticides like the weed from the band of dirty hippies in nor cal

legal weed has evolved the black market. you see the same thing in many states. lots of unscrupulous growers grow their weed legally and then transport it by mail or vehicle to other states. this is impossible in NV due to their "seed to sale" regulation.

if you're willing to transport your product across boundaries to where it's illegal the market is still very strong. but fewer and fewer people are growing and selling locally and illegally in legalized markets.

I just heard a local news story about a weed bust, "400 pounds, worth an estimated $200,000". That's only $500 a pound! What an opportunity for you to break bad becoming a middleman, and become a weed kingpin.
