I think it's also due to the fact tourists are already pretty price gouged by the time they make it to a dispensary. After you pay $38/night for resort fees and $15 for a sub sandwich, gambling, whatever else, paying $65 for a pen is a breeze. But it really suck for the locals. I was hoping that places distant from the strip would come down in price to pander to locals, but the demand is just still so high that they don't need to. A lot of places have rewards programs that basically give you 10% rakeback if used correctly, but that's really just a dent compared to prices in other states.

this is why I don't like edibles. I'm a daily smoker and dragged my wife to CO a few years back. She's doesn't smoke/partake at all.

well when in CO I got her to eat a cookie. nothing..at all.

edibles to me, just seem to be too hit or miss. There is zero reason why a non smoker gets zero high from an edible.

and I understand the 'first time doesn't get you high' logic (applied to me my first time, so I believe there is some truth to it all), but she has smoked before several years prior to our visit.. and she got hella high from a few puffs.

just stick to the flower and enjoy an old school joint, blunt, or bowl. and if you're worried about the smell, get a vape pen/extract.

Sister who lives in Mexico tried an edible that was purchased in a dispensary in San Diego. First time trying anything at all, barely drinking even. She got so high she didnt understand what country she was in, started to panick big time and almost passed out. Ended up being stoned for 3+ hours. So I guess it is a hit or miss based on many factors.

what are the best spots for edibles? specifically, gummies or fruit chews? Jenny's in north vegas seems to have what i'm looking for, but it also seems like a bit of an unnecessary distance to travel with so many closer options (i'm staying at the Strat).

About 3 days ago, I was smoking a joint in the alley next to Harrahs and 2 cops in uniform walked right up to me. I was playing on wsop.com so I was looking down the whole time and didn't see them at all. They scared the **** out of me. Immediately they asked if I was smoking pot, I don't like lying to people about the obvious so I said I was.

They said they have better stuff to do, but since I was doing it pretty openly, they had to say something. They said I shouldn't be doing it there even tho it's kind of hidden in an alley, asked for my ID to make sure I didn't have warrants, and said they'd let me go if no warrants came back.

No warrants came back and they said just don't do it in obvious spots because it's still illegal. No ticket or anything.

Don't act dumb about it and if caught, just accept you're in the wrong and try to diminish the situation

If these guys bouncing around on mobility scooters and all of them smoking huge joints while cruising up and down the strip didnt get stopped then I think cops are generally cool about it

I think Vegas is the mobility scooter capital of the world. A month or so ago I had just vaped in the plaza outside Bally's and all of a sudden a mobility scooter brigade like that one just zipped past me on both sides, everyone riding one was clearly baked.

Doyle almost smoked me coming out of Bobby's room a while back. I swear his mobility scooter had the governor taken out or something - he was going at least 25 mph. He missed me but there is little doubt he would've just run my ass over if I walked past a second earlier.

What did you take? Doseage? I can Guaran-damn-tee that if you can ever get your hands on these (KushyPunch) you'll be high af! The 100 mg boxes come with four squares inside. I would suggest starting with a half a square. Even a quarter may not be a bad idea because **** can get intense quickly with edibles.

I've got some medical edibles (from an Arizona dispensary) that clock in at 250mg/bar, dark chocolate and espresso. Pretty sure I'm going to be high AF at Primus tomorrow! I'm actually kinda scared of them.

Vegas edibles are freaking garbage. As a daily smoker for 7+ years the only thing in Vegas that gets the job done are the Cheeba Chews. They come in at 80-100mg per chew and are about $18-22 anywhere in Vegas. Two of them usually sends me to the moon for the rest of the day and I've seen beginner users freak out on one.

Most of the edibles I tried in Vegas wouldn't get a 6 year old high.

Once you find out which terpenes create the "high" effect that you enjoy, buy your flower, edibles, and tinctures according to the Terpenes % and not the THC percentages. For me, I love the couch lock, dead to the world high that only Indicas with a high dosage of Myrcene creates. I can smoke a strain like GDP which may be 18% THC, 15% Myrcene and be completely floored off my rocker, whereas a strong Jack Herer at 22%+ THC and 15%+ Bisabolol would barely get me "high" like I wanted to feel.

If you explain to the budtender the high you like experiencing and which Terpenes are linked to that feeling, your bud-buying experience will be a lot more satisfying.

They taste more like earwax if we're getting specific. The last time I left Vegas I ate a Sativa Cheeba Chew and a Hybrid right as I stepped foot in McCarran. When the plane took off 90 minutes later, it felt like the plane was taking off 90 degrees straight up like a Rocket. Lots of closed eye hallucinations, skewed depth perception, and time loss. Just the way I like it.
