Wynn used to have a thriving 4/8 that got action packed when the drunks arrived. PHo had a pretty decent 4/8 too, just a few years ago. 4/8 is just a ton of fun when impaired people are making poor decsions. I guess the Venetian 4/8 is dead or dying too?

Well it certainly doesn't help when they raised the rake, cut the comps and have fewer games going at Venetian. Also the 4/8 regs I used to see there a few years ago were usually much older than I was.

I don't ever remember a 4/8 at PH and an action packed 4/8 at Wynn. I do remember when Wynn used to occasionally have 4/8 but that doesn't happen there anymore.

In years past Wynn had a 4/8 every time I went there. By contrast the Bellagio 4/8 was slow and boring. It always seemed there was a lot more drinking in the Wynn than Bellagio. Maybe the drink service was better, or possibly everyone wanted to order a drink because the servers were so hot.

As others have suggested, while limit MAY run sometimes, I don't think there's any way on earth it will run 60 hours.

Slightly off topic but the vast majority of my play has been LHE with O8 full kill coming in second. I've played LHE in a bunch of Southern poker rooms and it's safe to say it's dying extremely quickly. Poker in general is dying but LHE is seeing the effects quicker because there have always (not always but for at least the last 15 years anyway) been less tables of it running. Places like Tunica and Shreveport/Bossier used to keep multiple tables of LHE going nearly all the time. Now that the old folks are dying off at a rapid rate, combined with the dying interest in poker in general, much less limit, the limit games are becoming much less prolific. LV seems to be seeing the effect of that as well. Very sad, but such is life I guess.

Ok end of pity party, back to TI game info.lol

If I bankroll 5 bums to sit at the table with me and play real slow for 60 hours a week, would I make a profit?

What if I don't pay them any money but they can drink all the alcohol they want?

LHE is alive and well in San Jose, 3/6 to 80/160 7 days a week, and seems to be maintaining its health. For whatever reason, even after players move on to NL or die off, new LHE players take their place.

Sure, just have the blinds chop every hand. They would probably eventually notice though.

Well I might head back to TI this week some later at night and see how the games are. I probably wont be motivated enough to get 40 hours or more in unless the games are good.

I see on Bravo TI has had a 3/6 limit game going the last 2 days. I played last night about 8:30pm and it had gone down by then already. Heard it started in afternoon. Just another option if you're chasing hours to earn money.

I stopped by there today in the afternoon. The 3/6 game was going but it was 3 guys just sitting not playing just clocking in promo hours. Once they get 4 players they have to play to get hours. They are trying to get it going. The rake is $3 with a $2 promo.

Wonder if they were letting them earn time or were just trying to game start.

They were letting them earn time. Once there are four players they must play.

You ****** know poker is dead when a room will pay you to play there and you cant even get the lowest of low limit games to go.

So the key play is to show up with a book when they first open. If the game runs, play two orbits, then leave and go spend your comps.

When I played the promo you couldn't clock time with a game running unless you were playing. They must have changed that to try to get 3/6 running.

Also, its not like you can clock time whenever there is no game. I believe the game "started" at 11am. So you couldn't clock time between whenever the game broke and 11am.

This was when the room was in the old location. Usually the game would start around 12:30 or 1pm.

Well, to be fair, a $30 pot probably drops $5 total. At a 3/6 limit game this drop will be felt quite a bit without new money being pumped into the game continually by rebuys or new players. Never mind that $2 out of every $5 will be returned later by the promo payments because the games will be more prone to breaking for lack of player funds and players.

A group of 4 grinders with our ladies from Chicago/STL will be in town between 6/23 and 7/5. The guys play poker and the girls are at the pool or shipping. If anyone wants to grind out the promo at 4/8 limit during those dates, message me and we will get a game going and ensure the 60 hrs is cleared for the maximum promo payout.

Their normal LHE game is 3/6 but I imagine they would change it if you asked.
