The morning games probably have to be one of the worst games 1/2 or 1/3 games on the strip. Very nitty and tight and 9 or 10 players are all there to grind hours. Everyone is very open at the table about being in a terrible game. But the players are very friendly and there was good banter and atmosphere in my opinion. Game usually seemed to get better during the night time when most of the regs dropped out and random tourists and recs would walk in looking to play some poker.

A tight solid reg who's willing to adjust slightly to steal the blinds more frequently in certain spots preflop, and who's able to make big plays at pots vs capped ranges and certain players (i.e. overbets) should do fine in this game. Yes the games were pretty bad but still feels beatable. Hourly rate including the get paid to play promo might still not be as good as finding a juicy game at planet hollywood or something though. The noon - evening hours grind might not be worth the hours. Optimal strategy for a TI reg might be to not go for the 60 hours but go for something less while putting volume in at night times. The place next to poker room has the best french fries ever, I'll give them that.

The story isn’t complete without someone asking:
So how much did you lose (win)?

Its mostly been after 8 or 9pm. Makes sense as most of the noon start bonus hour grinders wont usually stick around past 10 as 10hr+ sessions are pretty draining.

Not bad for 60 hours in nitty promo chasing games with extra drop.

And sure, 60 hours isn’t a huge sample, but it’s still nice to know whether anyone can win in certain conditions.

So you made about $23/hr.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if your winrate would have just been higher just playing somewhere else.

Of course, 60 hours is a meaningless sample also.

I need to use up some of my TI comps. I think I’ll grab a slice of pizza (great pizza next to Starbucks) on Sunday and check out the game.

The game has been really stale lately and I've noticed the 10pm tournament hasn't gone a couple of times the last couple of weeks. I wish they would switch up the promos but the management here is pretty lazy and seem content on things being the way they are. I've been using their free parking and trekking over to Venetian and Wynn lately. Free parking is all the room has left that draws me there.

The game is good sometimes and bad sometimes, just like anywhere else

From what I’ve heard, they tried to get rid of the Get Paid to Play promo in the past but that killed the action so they brought it back

The Football Square promo they have going on right now is an absolute joke. They give squares for full houses and better but only during certain hours of the day. Each quarter of the football game pays $50 so the EV of each square is just $2

(FH = 1 Square, quads and SF get 3-5 each not sure exactly)

They started a new player referral bonus program . A new player can get $599 + an extra $100 for a 60 hour week (and the referrer gets $150)

What do they consider to be a new player?
Never had a players card from TI before?

If you haven’t participated in the Get Paid to Play promotion since 60 days ago, you qualify as a new player

I'm heading to Vegas with about a 3500 dollar roll soon. I won't feel really comfortable till I have about 6k. Would you guys/gals agree that this game is definitely worth playing with a limited roll? Can't really put into words what I'm trying to say but if 50% means it's a toss up as in the pros and cons from playing this game doesn't outweigh each other at all what % would you put on either playing this game or not playing it.?

Better to find a single zero wheel and put it all on red.

this game is a nit fest which is absolutely brutal.not real poker. If you are worried about getting rake back from live poker then you need to figure out new priorities. Find a good poker game at a major card room with normal comps and grind that

I just don't understand why anyone would willingly go and play at the TI? Easy to bumhunt in any of the big rooms. Aria, Caesars, Wynn, Bellagio

+1 to the last 2 posts.

Hmmm, I'm in Vegas, what am I going to do with myself? I know, I'll sit around with the people that are trying to squeeze out live rakeback from 1/3. Might as well ask for spare change outside while you wait for the game to start.

I guess I'll add my $0.02

My most recent visit to LV was at TI. I'm a rec poker player and on my last night in LV I figured I'd play a bit of poker close to home base (TI) I went in the room and while waiting to put my name on the list, I observed the table running and actually just instead decided to walk away and give up playing again one last time on my vacation. The table looked terrrrible. Wasn't going to have any fun or even win anything on that table.

Can someone go play super-aggro and report back? Raise (nearly) every hand, see what happens. Is it profitable? Do the nits leave? Do they just give you the stink eye? Do they just wait for JJ+ and shove on you pre-flop?

A lot of them buy in for $100 call a few raises then fold then nurse a $40-$60 stack for hours and top off small. I noticed a 3-6 mixed game going a few times and the players were having a lot of fun. Nobody seemed to be winning but it looked fun and a good way to learn the games. 1-1 PLO goes on some Sundays too.
