I haven’t had time or energy to get my Nevada license yet.

A friend told me I can show proof of residency and get some kind of sticker from Total Rewards that proves residency.

Has anyone done this? Where do I need to go? Only to the Rio?

Nice Avatar.

You have 12,000+ 2+2 posts. Channel some of that time and energy into something directly beneficial to yourself.
Get down to DMV and get a Nevada ID, even if you do not need or want a Nevada Drivers License.

(I am not familiar with what benefit might lie with Total Rewards from being a local, but if qualifying is your goal, ask them directly how to "prove up" your local status. My guess is you can find out by telephone or online, if you are so inclined.)

You'll need a Nevada or military ID to get locals discounts. You're required by law to surrender your out of state one if you live here. If you have a car, you must register it here. Getting caught has expensive consequences.

The DMV takes appointments. My wife was in and out in 20 minutes a few weeks ago. The locals discounts will more than make up for the fee.

It’s not for TR benefits only. Like Rio has a free giveaway every Friday for locals. If you get the gift and sell it on eBay it’s probably worth $1,000 a year?

But it can also get joy restaurant discounts and, among others, into strip clubs for free.

Locals in Vegas have ****ty enough lives already. Don't try to scam their benefits and ruin what little upside they have.

OP doesn't have time to go to the DMV, but has time to scheme for a "locals card" to wait until some Friday in the future to resell casino casserole gift sets for less money than it will cost to go pay $18 for a Nevada ID?

Vegas DMV may be the WOAT, but they make it super easy to get in and out painlessly. You can text to get in queue and they send you updates every 15-20 minutes on your spot in line. Or like someone else said, you can make an appointment. Or you can go full gypsy as there's lots of like-minded folk in town.

QFT - I don't know if the Rio gifts are any different than the free gifts that other casinos I play at, but they're basically unresellable. I've literally tried giving them away and I can't even find takers most of the time.

You can watch the vlogs of Pokerkraut, he occasionally shows the Rio stuff he collects. Spoiler: It's all trash, you run well if you get 3$ for that on average

Again I have no desire to sell stuff on eBay.

It's honestly a bit elusive.

So what is the point? You want to know how to get a sticker?

Lol at the idea that OP getting free strip club admission and a keychain on prize day at Sam's Town is somehow going to "ruin it for the locals".

Where's your sticker, son? To get discount, you must produce your sticker.

I'm going to assume you haven't changed your residence on your auto insurance either. Don't get in an accident or you may find out the insurance company will deny your claim. Hell, given PA's insurance rates, it will probably cost you less than you're paying now.

Just take the morning and get your driver's license.

There are locals discounts all over town including at some Starbucks, riding the monorail, show tickets, etc. It has real cash savings value.

OP, if you might go back home just keep your home state license and get a NV "seasonal resident ID" like the snowbirds do.
