Looking at threads in this forum I almost feel bad posting this -- apologies for the lack of greyhounds, chip porn, and hot women, but hoping to tap into the community's experiences with preschools in town.

Any positive or negative recs?

PM is fine too -- esp for any of you with kids still enrolled who might not want to call out where on a public forum, or might not want to shred a preschool publicly.

Any limit game at a locals casino is basically a preschool, but that's not what you meant...

Yeah, I didn't have a good answer, but I tried

Both my kids are in preschool, although oldest graduated & starts kindergarten in August.

Raising kids in Vegas is the only thing stopping me from coming back. Seems like it would make it even tougher

In case any future parents come looking for preschool/pre-K recs, I'm happy to give thoughts around LVDS, Merryhill, Dawson, Temple Beth Sholom, a Waldorf school (technically, one that is applying), and a few of the Montessori schools we toured. We made our pick and enrolled today, first day is only 2 weeks out.

I also have a recommendation for Faith Lutheran from someone I trust to think hard about these decisions, but we did not tour (had already made our decision).

Are you planning on home school or private school later? The CC school district is one of the largest and worst in the country. The administration and teacher scandals are incredibly frequent and amazingly horrible. I wouldn't school my kids here. There are probably some areas that are decent.

We are undecided on staying put, moving in town, moving out of town, or private school. But 0% chance we home school.
