Hi all, my name is Carl. I've been putting together some meet ups over the last 6 months or so, basically just trying to serve others and help out the community in various ways. If you live out here and are interested in getting involved we would love your help. If you are just visiting LV you are welcome to participate as well, usually only takes 1 or 2 hrs. So far we have been cleaning up local parks and handing out food, water and care package items to those in need.

I know the poker community has a lot of heart and we are all very fortunate, it feels awesome to spread a little happiness and good will with others.

Next meet up will be Wednesday June 17th 6pm, location on the corner of Flamingo and LV blvd in front of The Cromwell. We will hand out some meals. If you have any questions feel free to post ITT or send me a PM.

Thanks all hope your day is going well!

I'll go again.

For those wondering you can just show up and help out for a while. Carl doesn't try to hook you into other obligations or talk to you about religion or anything like that.

Right on, I appreciate your help.

No religious affiliation, just trying to be a positive force in the world.

Narcissists are allowed, but we will be passing by Lake Bellagio so there is a drowning risk.

Seriously though, poker can be a very egocentric game so dedicating a few hrs a week to focus on others is good mitigation.

Great thread, keep it going. I come into town about twice a year, but I would love to volunteer next time I'm out.

I will really try to attend this today (it will depend on what time I can get off work today).

Do you need me to bring anything (eg trash bags)? Or just show up with a good attitude?

Cool, I'll bring trash bags. If you have a pair of gloves it would be great if you could take them if you are able to get off of work. Thanks!
