Not sure your preferences but my wife and I loved brunch at the new sports bar "The Front Yard" at Ellis Island two weekends ago. Was a little loud but we are not too old yet. Food was amazing and the gambling at Ellis Island is always awesome.

Doubled my money on Roulette and then rolled 42 at craps and nearly paid for the entire weekend while my wife had stampede after stampede of buffalo make up enough to pay the rest of the trip. Was a great Saturday midday and well worth the stop.

Thanks for the brunch tip. Glad you ran well! We made it and they actually gave us a nicer room since we were a day late! Not too shabby. I've never had a TV that comes out of a piece of furniture at the end of my bed :-)

View it's not too bad. I like it that I can see the Aria! and each having our own bathroom is pretty cool. I'm taking the one with the bidet Time for more champagne that we brought with us in the checked luggage and then off to play poker.

So, we went to the Flamingoto to play a smaller tournament and cash. Some of you don't know this, but my husband has had vertigo and brain fog for about 6 months since he had covid. I also had it. We got our first vaccination on Tuesday. Unfortunately, his brain fog is worse than ever yesterday and today, so we are staying away from PLO for the time being. I do plan to play quite a bit though!

What I want to know is what this chick is thinking? She has a spinner, the card protector she's not using, and nails that could kill a small pitbull.

I've had vertigo off and on for many years. Hope that Paris elevator ride doesn't cause problems.

Very excited to see a trip report with pics and everything.

I miss Vegas poker so much. It’ll be my first destination once the borders drop. Right now I’ll live vicariously through you.

Good luck.

Well, the first night started off great. 1/2 NLHE at Flamingo is incredibly soft. I was up and playing well and then it went downhill. I'm not even sure what happened. I played a few hands poorly and got sucked out on a few times. Plus, didn't get paid with my only set because an A came on the river and scared the guy off (he was folding all the time, anyway, so not sure it would have mattered) and my one full house lost to quads! Ugh. Pete did well, though, and was up a couple of hundred. I was down $450. Seems impossible at that game, but c'est la vie.

Heading out soon to hopefully get some exercise if Pete can handle it. He can't run, but we paid that resort fee, so might as well take advantage of having a gym.

More pics later today.

I am sorry to hear that. He's had it off an on for years, too, but this is the worst ever. The docs think every time was virus-induced. Fast movement and looking up are almost impossible for him right now. He'll keep his head down on the elevator, I'm sure.

Had lunch at PBR. It's nothing fancy but the food is decent. Most places were booked/packed. However, considering two eggs, your choice of meat and fruit and toast in the Paris hotel was $23 and only $9.95 at PBR I was pretty happy. The coffee was terrible though.

Also went to The Stage Door to stock up on wine and diet mountain dew and a little bit of low-fat chocolate milk, which is my hangover go to. They have Pappy's! Prices were from a few hundred to $4,000. Below is a photo from their Facebook page.

We are at the Aria for the 1:00 tournament. We are alternates. I am on almost every list but it's more than an hour wait so I decided to play the tournament. The room is packed.

Nice pictures and write up thus far. Hope you run better at PLO. I started out playing live poker so it's nice to see the health of the games are good despite Covid. You and your family stay safe out there.

And I am out. Raised pre flop. Hit top pair. Got it all in on the turn versus a double gutter and he hit on the river.

What is important is that the both of you are having a good time. The rest is noise.

Lol. We always have a good time! We play poker to pay for some of it

Was up $1,000 in the Planet Hollywood 1/2, but much of it was from my husband :-)

Played the Planet Hollywood $100 tournament at 8:00 p.m. Made it down to eight players and got it all in with A9 (raised pre in position) on a Q96 flop. Guy went all in with 10 Jack and hit a king on the turn

We had my birthday brunch a day early at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. The view was wonderful and the food was actually quite delicious. The French onion soup was different it was more of a bisque but it was very good. The pork belly was fantastic. The lobster hollandaise was incredible, too. Hubby had the flat iron steak and eggs which was very good. The desserts were amazing.

We are now waiting for my dad and his wife to arrive in Vegas. They left Arizona yesterday to head to the Grand Canyon and are on their way to Vegas now. We're going to invite them to our room for a poker session. We had this trip planned last year and they had started taking lessons, but covid put a kibosh on that.

I agree. It was actually very good. $59 each for 3 courses is pretty reasonable, especially for the quality. The pork belly was excellent. The wine list is extensive. I let the husband order so I'm not sure about prices and quality but we had was very good.

Can’t tell for sure but maybe a Cabernet Franc red from Loire?

Yeah by Vegas strip pricing $59 for that spot and three courses seems like a steal.
