^I parked in the garage this weekend and it definitely looks like they’re bringing in parking fees to PH pretty soon.

Dont even get me started on CET bartop Keno paytables. They really have the balls to pay 2,500 for a 7/7 rather than the standard 7,000. Pisses me the **** off every time I check the paytables and see that ****.

Think I might go out there tomorrow for "one last time's sake" since Tuesday is such a shitty schedule on wsop.com

Per Trooper .. The room will be open through Monday at ? time in order to disperse the promo fund 'somehow'. No details had been released.

After just moving the poker room it seems that whatever internal battle was taking place has now ultimately been won by the '$ per square foot' side. Staff costs are real and casinos do evaluate 'residual' gaming that comes from poker players.

Poker rooms were a good way to keep husbands 'in the building' if the wife was done for the day.

This room was the first place I saw the MS straddle .. GL

Article from July 2020

I’m not saying they’re selling PH, but if they were this could be a precursor to doing so.

It would seem the most logical resort to sell as it is the furthest south and would not put a gap between any of their other adjacent resorts.

The bad thing is it's their newest, and at least second best, of their properties. This is probably not the best time to be selling casinos either.

If I'm being forced to sell a property below it's true value, I'd rather sell a turd like Flamingo or Harrah's than one of my few gems.

They were recently released from their directive to sell the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN by the Gaming Commission there. Probably a little bit of common sense and Buyers maybe not wanting to know what's in the ground in that neighborhood. That property had facilitated the largest poker room in the Midwest and they are slowly reopening that area of the casino to poker.

While it's certainly possible that the property is for sale/sold, I highly doubt that whether or not a poker room is up and running is a deal breaker .. or even a consideration in a deal. GL

My guess is that outside of Caesars itself, if someone wanted one of the others and were willing to pay a good price for it, they would sell it.

Caesars stated in May that they had postponed the decision to sell any property(ies) until next year.

https://lasvegassun.com/news/2021/ma...resort-next-y/

If I were going to hazard a guess of which Strip property they'd be selling (assuming it is a Strip property and not Rio), my choice would be Bally's.

They've already sold off the Bally's brand to Twin River, which operates 13 casinos in 9 states (including Bally's Atlantic City), although Caesars has perpetual use of the name in LV. I've read that Twin River is planning on rebranding all of their casinos to Bally's, so it would make sense for them to purchase the Bally's in Las Vegas as well.

Does Miracle Mile also come with PH?

I can see that being a prized investment...

wasn't there a story last year that the new baseball stadium would be built on the RIO footprint?

They could always sell off the PH location and rebrand Bally's as PH or something else. After all, Bally's used to be the OG MGM Grand.

They could also do a deal to sell the Vegas rights to the name to Twin River.

There was a discussion of that in a LVL thread, link: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...-park-1725328/

Basically the arguments for would be best use of the expansive acreage with a new resort + MLB park, nearby to Virgin high speed rail, Oakland going south on their deal to keep the A's, and new ownership of property.

Arguments against would be building it somewhere else in LV makes more sense, too hot, and other cities have better chance than LV.

This article says it's not going to happen.

they just closed on the 'high speed' property right down the street from me... there is room over there, but it seem so far from the main strip.

Selling Ballys doesn't make sense to me. Paris is attached and they share a parking garage.

I'd imagine this also includes all the properties in macau, which probably makes sense now since CET was squeezed out of getting a gaming license over there and there isnt a clear path forward to getting one now. (and it probably doesnt make financial sense either at the moment)

Planet Hollywood is giving away WSOP seats tomorrow in their final day to blow through their promotion reserves. Anyone know the details of how many or how this is happening?

Bravo says they are open Noon to 9pm tomorrow and start giving away WSOP seats at 12:30pm.

Probably drawing of seated players is my guess.

Are they giving away main event seats? How many given away? Every half hour or every hour? Anyone know? Just looking for details if anyone is there now or knows from playing there this week?

At least high hand promos don’t shave off rake on top of the prizes.

They might as well hold their own $500+$500 tourney and make a grab for half of the player promo funds rather than give 100% back to the player pool.

They already do this with promo money by awarding overpriced sandwiches, and previously Paris buffets at Bally’s with the extra drop.

Feels dirty.

While you might actually see something like that from a place that is sort-of independent, you have to consider that they do have other properties with poker rooms and wouldn't want to generate a sour taste going forward.

HH promo ends in 2 hours at 8am with poker starting up again at Noon, with the first drawing at 1230 thru 9pm.

No word of staying open past 9pm as of yet. I was rumored that they might stay open thru Noon on Monday to allow for some all-nighter action. GL
