So far, I'm happy to see I'm the only one who stayed at the Mint. Shared a room with my gf at the time and another couple - I don't think any of us were over 21, but we played all over and never got carded.

It was like the old IP, if the old IP was rolled in dirt and cigarette butts. Probably the rankest hotel I ever stayed in.

I did stay at the Mint only it was owned Binions by the time I got there in 2004. I had stayed the previous year and was put in one of the original Binions rooms - tiny, no insulation, hear everything going on in the connecting room (most notably a guy banging a hooker at 7 am), view of the backside of the metal façade. Anyway made sure my reservation the next year was for a tower (Mint) room. Got in late and they were trying to put me and my wife in one of the old rooms. After about 15 minutes of "discussion" the supervisor told the front desk person to put us in a suite. That sounds good however there were rips and tears in most of the furniture and it was probably last thoroughly cleaned in 1990. Loved the view from the pool deck on the roof. Good times.

It was quite a change to be at westward ho to a suite at bellagio. I guess when you are gambling 20 hours a day who cares where you stay.

Cosmopolitan [$90/night, no resort fee (paid internet though), upgrade to 58th floor with balcony, bellagio fountain view, free breakfast, marquee admission on Friday, during July 4th holiday + weekend, basically it was a dream since that was my 1st time in vegas. The deal was through a 3rd party]

The quad (after leaving cosmo moving to the quad could be weird, but as I read in 2+2 location is what matters and that was really great)

Rio (due to wsop, would not stay too long again, unless the trip is just for wsop)

Harrah's (great location too)

airbnb house (off strip but nice if have a car)

Has anyone stayed in any baller suites?

Three nights in a Salon Suite at the Wynn a couple of years ago. Dunno how high on the baller chain it sits, but it was nice. Probably not really worth it if you're paying the rack rate, though.

Rented the Lago suite at Palazzo for my wedding afterparty. Pool table, piano, TV room, kitchen area, two bathrooms...it wasn't the Rain Man / Last Vegas suite (and we didn't get the Strip view), but it was the nicest one I'll stay in.

I wanna stay in the palms bball court suite, my buddies had a party in one of the rooms with the pool hanging over the edge it was pretty sick.
